Therefore, U21 Song Lam Nghe An was punished to lose all 3 group stage matches and had to say goodbye to the National U21 Tournament early.

Right after the 2023 National U21 tournament, Phan Ba Quyen immediately moved with the first team.Lam River Nghe Anwent to Hanoi to participate in the Friendly Tournament organized by Viettel Club.
After 3 friendly matches with Hoa Binh, Hong Linh Ha Tinh and Viettel, 7 new faces promoted to the first team of Song Lam Nghe An were all given the opportunity to play. Among them, Phan Ba Quyen is the player who brought a certain peace of mind to the coaching staff of the Nghe team. In the first match against Hoa Binh, Phan Ba Quyen was arranged to play in the defensive midfielder position. In the 45 minutes on the field, the player born in 2002 played quite well.
In the second match against Hong Linh Ha Tinh, when Song Lam Nghe An lost 0-2, in the 70th minute, Ba Quyen was sent onto the field and tried his hand at the position of center back. Although it was the first time facing foreign strikers with superior physique and strength, Ba Quyen played quite confidently, thereby neutralizing most of the opponents' attacks on the goal.
