(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of August 2, the Steering Committee of the movement "Building solidarity to build cultural life in residential areas" held a preliminary review of activities in the first 6 months of 2013 and discussed solutions to carry out tasks in the last 6 months of the year.

In the first 6 months of the year, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" has been directed and implemented by Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and unions at all levels in the province. The movement contributes to socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, new rural construction, maintaining political security and ensuring social safety. As a result, 80.4% of families have registered to build cultural families; 695 villages, hamlets and city blocks have registered to build cultural villages, hamlets and city blocks. Regulations on implementing cultural lifestyles in weddings and funerals have been included in the village and hamlet conventions and regulations, so they should be organized in accordance with local customs and practices and families.

The goal of 2013 is to strive for 77% of families to achieve the title of Cultural Family; 52% of villages, hamlets, and blocks to achieve the title of Cultural Village; over 49% of communes, wards, and towns to have cultural and sports facilities and 31% of people to regularly practice sports.
