To promptly organize the implementation of Program 135 in 2016 and the period 2016 - 2020, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has developed specific goals and tasks such as: The rate of poor households according to multidimensional poverty standards in mountainous areas is reduced by 4%/year (at the end of 2015, the rate of multidimensional poor households was 24.04%);

By 2020, the average income per capita in mountainous areas will reach about 51 - 52 million VND/person/year; 95% of villages and hamlets will have motor vehicles, 100% of communes will have standard roads, 100% of communes and 90% of villages and hamlets will have electricity. Strive to have 20% of communes and over 50% of extremely disadvantaged villages and hamlets complete the goals of Program 135 by the end of the period.

The Northwest Steering Committee donated 2 billion VND to support the elimination of temporary housing for poor households in Nghe An province.

Based on the need to support the construction of essential infrastructure works and the existing resources of the program, the Provincial People's Committee requests all levels, sectors and localities to organize the planning of project implementation in accordance with the regulations in the guiding documents of the central ministries and sectors; allocate capital to communes according to the criteria approved by the Provincial People's Council; promptly report difficulties and problems at the grassroots level so that the relevant sectors can promptly direct, guide and handle them.

The National Target Program for the period 2016 - 2020 was approved by the National Assembly in Resolution No. 100/2015/QH13 approving the investment policy with the general goal: Implement sustainable poverty reduction, limit re-poverty; contribute to economic growth, ensure social security, improve material life, increase income for the poor in the period 2016 - 2020.
