(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 25th, the Provincial People's Committee held its regular monthly meeting for July 2013 to hear and give opinions on a number of important contents, programs, and projects. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presided over the meeting.

Overview of the working session

In July, the entire province focused its efforts on overcoming difficulties and synchronously and effectively implementing solutions to direct and manage the socio-economic situation in July 2013, achieving several results in various fields: Notably, the province had many investment promotion activities in July. As of July 16, 2013, it had issued new investment certificates for 38 investment projects, including 35 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of VND 4,287.35 billion and 3 FDI projects with a registered capital of USD 10.08 million. By July 17, 2013, it had issued business registration certificates to 766 enterprises, equivalent to 97.68% of the same period last year.

Several socio-cultural sectors have seen positive developments. In July, the university and college entrance exams at testing centers in the province were conducted safely, seriously, and with good quality. Labor, vocational training, and social welfare sectors received attention and guidance; activities commemorating the 66th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day and honoring those who contributed to the revolution were well organized.

After hearing the opinions of the members of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of departments and agencies, concluding the working session, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - noted: To implement the Politburo's Resolution on Nghe An, and the Provincial People's Council's Resolution on tasks for the last six months of 2013, all levels and sectors need to strengthen coordination and research solutions to overcome shortcomings in the first six months of the year, striving to complete the 2013 plan at the highest level; proactively and closely coordinate with central ministries and agencies to build an action program to implement the Politburo's Resolution (11th term) on the direction of socio-economic development of Nghe An until 2020. Proactively carry out fire prevention and control, focus on building new rural areas; urge the construction of projects and the disbursement of capital for basic construction investment projects. He requested the Department of Internal Affairs to review and build the administrative apparatus of Hoang Mai town; Focus on addressing prominent and pressing issues; ensure the effective implementation of socio-cultural fields....

Also this morning, the Provincial People's Committee listened to and commented on the report on the implementation of programs and projects under the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, presented by the Department of Planning and Investment.
