Afternoon of February 24, School Party CommitteeVinh Universityorganized a Conference to summarize Party building work in 2020 and deploy tasks in 2021. Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission and representatives of departments and branches.

In 2020, the Party Executive Committee, the Party Committee Standing Committee, the School Council, the Board of Directors, and the staff, party members, and students of Vinh University seized opportunities, overcame difficulties, and advised on completing the proposed work content and program, focusing on advising on teaching for all levels and types of training.

The Party Committee Standing Committee promptly disseminated, disseminated and implemented the policies of the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress. Implemented regulations and instructions from superiors on party member work and party member team building.

In 2020, the entire Party Committee of the school admitted 151 new party members, officially transferred 154 to probationary party members; awarded 30-year Party badges to 3 party members, 40-45-year Party badges to 3 party members. Opened 2 training classes to learn about the Party for 886 people; opened 1 political theory training class for new party members for 150 probationary party members. Completed procedures to officially transfer the party for 48 party members, and officially transfer party activities for 247 party members.

In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Party Committee promptly directed the School to combine online training with centralized training to ensure the program for all levels. The School participated in the first National Competition for Excellent Pedagogical Lecturers and won the First Prize in the Non-pedagogical Training Group and the Second Prize in the Pedagogical Training Group. The School has increased investment in science and technology to implement the Science and Technology Development Strategy for the period 2018 - 2025. The number of scientific publications in international journals in the Web of Science category by cadres and civil servants increased by 41.11%.

With the achieved results, the Party Executive Committee has 7/50 Party organizations classified as "Excellently completing tasks", 29/50 Party organizations classified as "Goodly completing tasks" and 14/50 Party organizations classified as "Completing tasks".

Besides, the work of building Party organizations still has some limitations such as: The work of directing the fight to prevent and remove false information has not been thoroughly handled; some Party committees have not yet fully understood the inspection work.

Based on the causes and limitations, the Party Committee of the University has set out 10 key tasks for 2021, closely following the set goals. Striving to make Vinh University a pillar of higher education institutions in the North Central region, aiming to be ranked in the top 500 universities in Asia.
