Ben Thuy II
The leaders of Project Management Board 85 reported to the Deputy Minister on the progress of the project's construction, the advantages and difficulties encountered during the construction process, especially the difficulties caused by the two historic floods in 2010 and 2011, and the general economic difficulties in recent times. However, through strenuous efforts to overcome difficulties, the construction units have increased shifts and mobilized all available construction equipment and materials to ensure the project's progress. To date, the Ben Thuy II Bridge project has completed 88.5% of the work volume.
Currently, the project is undergoing the final stages of construction, including the installation of lighting systems, railings, median barriers, and road surfaces on the bridge.
After conducting an on-site inspection, Deputy Minister of Transport Truong Tan Vien directed Project Management Board 85 and the construction units to urgently and resolutely complete the project and put it into use from September 2012, in commemoration of the Nghe Tinh Soviet Day (September 12, 2012).
