Phan Nhu Thao speaks out after the trial between her rich husband and ex-wife
Phan Nhu Thao - wife of tycoon Duc An - spoke out about the first instance trial of the case "Dispute over property ownership and division of common property after divorce" between her husband and supermodel Ngoc Thuy.
On September 18, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City opened the first instance trial of the case "Dispute over property ownership and division of common property after divorce" between the plaintiff Mr. Nguyen Duc An (American nationality) and Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Thuy (aka supermodel Ngoc Thuy).
Specifically, after the divorce, tycoon Duc An and supermodel Ngoc Thuy disputed assets worth more than 276 billion VND. The lawsuit lasted more than 13 years without any results.
On the same afternoon, on her personal page, Phan Nhu Thao wrote: "This morning, for the first time in court, I sat and listened to a trial. I realized that many people thought I forced my husband to sue to bring money back." The beauty said that this was the reason why she had faced mixed opinions for many years.
Phan Nhu Thao affirmed: "I have no rights, do not receive or take anything from the 13-year-long lawsuit. I hope all good things will come to those who deserve it."
At the trial on September 18, the representative of tycoon Duc An said he had filed a petition to change, supplement, and partially withdraw the lawsuit request.
Accordingly, Mr. Duc An requested the court to recognize the private assets and the voluntary transfer of property ownership to his two children and supermodel Ngoc Thuy according to the decision of the California Superior Court, Santa Clara County, USA, on December 7, 2011. Mr. Duc An also requested to withdraw part of the request to force Ms. Ngoc Thuy to pay the amount of 500 thousand USD to buy shares of the project.Bank New Venture.
Supermodel Ngoc Thuy also filed a counterclaim. According to the supermodel, during their marriage, the two had created a common asset, so Ms. Ngoc Thuy requested to divide the assets that Mr. Duc An is suing in half. She requested to receive all the assets, including villas and apartments in Phan Thiet and Ho Chi Minh City, along with 99% of the capital contribution shares at Binh Minh Interior Decoration Real Estate Trading Company Limited and 31% of the shares in Sao Mai Port Joint Stock Company, and she would return half of the asset value, estimated at more than 39 billion VND.
Phan Nhu Thao is a famous beauty in Vietnamese showbiz. In 2015, she suddenly withdrew from the entertainment industry and married Duc An, a Vietnamese-American businessman. After that, Phan Nhu Thao lived happily with her husband, who is 26 years older than her, in a billion-dollar villa by the sea.
