In a recent interview, Phan Nhu Thao stated that she has always had a clear stance on marital assets. "I once thought that if the time came when my husband and I could no longer live together, or if one of us found someone new, I would return the 'gifts' to my husband," she said. For her, receiving valuable real estate as gifts or having it registered in her name only meant "keeping it for safekeeping," and she had no intention of fighting over it if they were no longer living together.
This perspective stems from her independence and ability to earn her own money. The former model doesn't want to depend on her husband's wealth and is always striving to build her own career.

Instead of settling for a life of comfort, Phan Nhu Thao decided to venture into the business world. She said that it was businessman Duc An who taught her a lot about using money and managing finances. "If you want to do something, use your own money so you'll know what it's like to be cautious," is a saying from her husband that she always remembers.
Despite initial objections due to concerns about his wife's hard work, her husband became a strong supporter, even acting as her accountant during the early days of her startup. Businessman Duc An described his wife as "courageous" and "stubborn," because once she's determined, she'll see it through.
Phan Như Thảo admitted that there are conflicts in their viewpoints. Her husband wants her to have her own value and not be dependent on him, but when she focuses too much on her work, he complains. However, she believes this is understandable and that they always have frank discussions to find a balance.
Balancing career and family
To fully dedicate herself to her career, Phan Nhu Thao and her husband have made a five-year "agreement." During this time, she will focus entirely on her business, while businessman Duc An will be primarily responsible for taking care of the family and their daughter, Bo Cau. She understands that a woman's responsibility is family, but she also needs to create her own value.
"I'm happy to be able to provide for my loved ones, and I feel confident because I create value that is recognized by my husband, children, and society," she shared. When her husband gently reminds her about spending time with the family, she adjusts her work schedule to have more moments with them.
The 100 billion target and future plans.
Phan Như Thảo once set a goal of earning 100 billion VND before the age of 35 to retire, and she stated that this figure has not yet been achieved. "People see me as having a lot of real estate or money, but that's all from my husband. The 100 billion I mentioned is the amount I earned myself," she frankly stated. She also affirmed that, even though she hasn't earned that large sum yet, she is confident she can provide for her husband if he unfortunately faces financial difficulties.
Regarding their future plans, the couple intends to send their daughter to study abroad in Australia or England when she reaches secondary school. Afterward, they plan to find a small island in Europe, open a coffee shop or sell pastries to enjoy their retirement. As for a formal wedding, Phan Như Thảo said she doesn't place too much importance on it because they are already legally married and living happily.
