Outrage over video of husband brutally assaulting wife in the middle of the night.
A video clip extracted from a security camera at a family home, allegedly in Vinh City, is circulating widely on social media, capturing an outrageous scene: a man repeatedly and brutally beating a woman, believed to be his wife, inside their own home.
The incident occurred around midnight on May 7th. In the video, the woman frantically tries to escape, even kneeling and begging for mercy, but the man does not stop, instead repeatedly punching and kicking her, and then aggressively threatening her with a knife.
In desperation to escape, the woman was forced to jump from the balcony. According to reports, as a result of the fall, she suffered a fractured spine, risking spinal cord compression leading to paralysis, and was rushed to Hospital 115 for emergency treatment.
The final image in the clip shows that after the woman was helped away by two people, the man calmly sat down and lit a cigarette.
Although the exact cause is still unclear, the video, after being posted, sparked a strong wave of outrage among the public. Many people called on authorities to promptly investigate and severely punish the brutal act of the man in the clip.
