Viet Tan element arrested in Ha Tinh apologizes to the people

Before the investigation agency - Ha Tinh Police, Nguyen Van Hoa recognized his wrongdoings, repented and asked for the people's leniency.

Nguyen Van Hoa was prosecuted and temporarily detained. He confessed to working for foreign organizations, opposing the Party and the State, and inciting gatherings in Ha Tinh.

During the process of being temporarily detained by Ha Tinh police to serve the investigation, Nguyen Van Hoa (born in 1995, residing in Ky Khang commune, Ky Anh) confessed that he received money from organizations and individuals at home and abroad to collect information and write articles against the Vietnamese government.

After bowing his head and admitting his wrongdoings, Hoa hoped that the mass media would allow him to deeply apologize to all the Vietnamese people as well as the Party, State, Government and authorities at all levels for his actions that violated the state.

“I hope that all the people and authorities at all levels will forgive the defendant, so that he can find a way to return and rebuild his life. Because he is still very young, he was taken advantage of and lured. He does not want to continue pursuing it.”

“The defendant wants to call on everyone, from the youth to the elderly, from farmers to intellectuals, lay people as well as Catholics, not to violate, sell out their conscience, sell out the Fatherland to reactionary and extremist organizations and individuals at home and abroad, and not to follow in the footsteps of the defendant for money or immediate benefits like the defendant has experienced,” Nguyen Van Hoa said.

Previously, as reported, on April 6, the leader of the Security Investigation Agency of Ha Tinh Police said that the unit had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Nguyen Van Hoa for 3 months for the crime of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and citizens" according to Article 258 of the Penal Code.
