Fans' reaction to the news that Vietnam National Team has a coach from Korea

Although he has never coached a national team, he is young but has proven his ability at a top club in Korea, so he is not… fake. Perhaps the boost from Mr. Shin Tae Yong with Indonesia is the reason for the Vietnam Football Federation to sign him… Hopefully there will be a second Mr. Park for Vietnam."

Another fan with nicknameTry to improveComment: “At 47-48 years old, he is still a young coach, with an open mind and mentality to absorb new things in world football. If Mr. Kim becomes the new coach of the national team, I wish him success.” Reader with nicknameFormer goalkeeper of Military Region 7left a comment and received quite a lot of debate: "The coach's CV is not too important, the important thing is the right person: Mr. Park had an almost empty CV before coming to Vietnam, but Mr. Troussier's is very impressive"...

Another Vietnamese athlete wins ticket to 2024 Paris Olympics
The 2024 Paris Olympic badminton qualifying rankings were officially closed on April 30. With 23,630 points accumulated, tennis player Le Duc Phat ranked 34th out of 38 qualified for the upcoming tournament in France.
Duc Phat was almost certain to qualify for the Olympics after finishing the Asian Badminton Championship. At that time, he was ranked 35th and no other important tournaments were enough to make a big difference in points.
Le Duc Phat's journey to win a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics was quite arduous. He suffered an injury at the end of 2023 and was kicked out of the Olympic group.

Luckily, Duc Phat was able to return in time to participate in a series of International Challenge tournaments in January and February. Notably, to accumulate enough points, Duc Phat had to travel all the way to Africa to compete.
Le Duc Phat's efforts were rewarded with the Uganda International Challenge championship and a semi-final appearance at the Kazakhstan International Challenge. Thanks to that, the Vietnamese tennis player has advanced to the Olympic group.
With badminton player Le Duc Phat winning a ticket to the 2024 Olympics, Vietnamese sports have qualified for the 10th place in France.
Previously, Vietnamese athletes qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics include: Trinh Thu Vinh, Le Thi Mong Tuyen (shooting); Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming); Vo Thi Kim Anh (boxing); Nguyen Thi Huong (canoeing); Pham Thi Hue (rowing), Trinh Van Vinh (weightlifting) and Nguyen Thuy Linh (badminton).
Man Utd and Man City join hands to protest new Premier League rules
At the shareholders' meeting of the 20 Premier League clubs recently held in London, clubs voted to apply new spending limits in the top flight of the foggy country.

This rule is currently expected to apply from the 2025-26 season as part of a new financial control system to replace the Profitability and Sustainability Rule (PSR).
The new rules will limit the total amount a club can spend on wages, transfer fees and agents' fees in a season. It will be based on the TV rights revenue of the team finishing bottom of the Premier League this season.
One proposal is for the financial limit to be 4.5 times the bottom team’s TV revenue. For example, last season, the bottom team (Southampton) earned £100.3m from TV rights, so the limit for each team this season would be £100.3 x 4.5 = £451.35m.
Clubs have yet to agree whether the new limit will apply to the salaries of all staff or just players.
Some big clubs fear the rule will put them at a disadvantage against European rivals, while others say it is necessary to keep the Premier League competitive. According to British media, Man Utd, Man City and Aston Villa voted against the rule. Chelsea abstained while 16 other clubs voted in favour.
Bayern Munich-Real Madrid draw at Allianz
In the early morning of May 1 (Hanoi time), Vinicius scored 2 goals to help Real Madrid draw 2-2 with Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.
At home, Bayern quickly pushed up their formation, not hiding their intention to attack first. Harry Kane became the factor that helped the home team launch attacks smoothly thanks to his impressive ability to connect and operate independently.
Bayern created a series of opportunities. However, every time they got close to Real's goal, the home team's strikers shot wide. Both times the home team hit the target, they could not cause any trouble for goalkeeper Lunin.
Real conceded eight shots in the first half but showed no signs of disarray. Coach Carlo Ancelotti's team continued to show their mettle against opponents who controlled the game well and needed just one moment to make a difference.
In the 24th minute, Toni Kroos made an impressive pass from midfield for Vinicius Jr to run down and shoot, defeating Manuel Neuer. The opening goal came from Real's only shot on target in the first 45 minutes.
The surprise happened at the beginning of the second half, when Bayern equalized after the effort of Leroy Sane, a player who was criticized a lot from the beginning of the match for his lackluster performance. In the 53rd minute, the former Man City star dribbled the ball at speed and then fired a powerful shot into a narrow corner, defeating Lunin.

Just four minutes later, the Allianz Arena erupted when the home team was awarded a penalty. The mistake belonged to Lucas Vazquez, who pulled down Jammal Musiala in the penalty area. Kane seized the opportunity to help the home team take the lead for the first time.
After the second goal, Bayern played proactively. Real did not create any significant chances but still managed to equalize 2-2. Kim Min-jae unexpectedly made the German representative concede a penalty with a blatant tackle on Rodrygo in the 81st minute. Vinicius also made no mistake to complete his double, at the same time bringing the first leg of the semi-final back to the starting line.
Real and Bayern will face off again at the Bernabeu on May 9 to determine the finalists.
Spain at risk of being eliminated from Euro 2024
Spanish football is facing an unprecedented disaster as FIFA and UEFA feel that there is government interference in the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), leading to the risk of punishment: banning from participating in all international tournaments, both at the national team and club level.
The story began when the RFEF was battling corruption allegations. The Higher Sports Council set up a High-Level Committee to oversee the activities of the federation. This was seen by FIFA and UEFA as “government interference”, direct control of the federation, contrary to the desire to “apolitically football”.

In a letter to Spanish Sports Minister Jose Manuel Rodriguez-Uribes, FIFA and UEFA warned that they would not tolerate any political interference in football, and set a deadline of Friday (May 3) to receive satisfactory answers before imposing sanctions.
In the worst case scenario, Spain could be immediately eliminated from Euro 2024, and also stripped of the right to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The process of campaigning to host the 2030 World Cup (in alliance with Portugal and Morocco) would also be affected.
