Phan Van Anh Vu accused of bribing more than 16 billion VND through a "feng shui master"
The Security Investigation Agency - Ministry of Public Security has completed the supplementary investigation conclusion, proposing to prosecute Phan Van Anh Vu for the crime of Bribery.
Recently, the Investigation Security Agency - Ministry of Public Security (C01) has completed the Investigation Conclusion, proposing to prosecute Phan Van Anh Vu (45 years old, former Chairman of Bac Nam 79 Construction Company) for the crime of Bribery.
In connection with the case, Ho Huu Hoa (37 years old, feng shui consultant, Nghe An) was accused of the crime ofBroker briberyHoa was prosecuted on March 5.

According to the Investigation Conclusion, Hoa is a person with extensive relationships and works as a feng shui consultant. In 2010, Hoa met Phan Van Anh Vu. In 2017, Vu was investigated for violations in the purchase and transfer of public land in Da Nang and several other localities, and was also investigated for the crime of intentionally revealing state secrets.
Vu asked Hoa to approach a former official to find out information and ask for help. The investigation concluded that Vu asked the driver to give a bribe of 5 billion VND and 500,000 USD (equivalent to 11.5 billion VND). The defendant Hoa was identified as the intermediary to "connect" and help Vu give the bribe. The total amount was more than 16 billion VND.
During the investigation, Ho Huu Hoa denied the above accusation. Defendant Vu said he did not give any money but only sent cigars, lingzhi mushrooms... through an intermediary.
The investigation concluded that, although the defendants denied it, the authorities had evidence to determine that the defendants' criminal acts had sufficient elements to constitute the crimes of Bribery and Bribery Brokerage.
Phan Van Anh Vu is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence for many crimes such as: Intentionally disclosing state secrets, Taking advantage of position and power while performing official duties, Abusing position and power to appropriate property.
