France, Germany, the United States and Canada agree with London's conclusion that the suspects in the poisoning case of Sergey and Yulia Skripal in Salisbury in the UK are GRU employees, as the joint statement released by the press service of the German Government on Thursday said.

"We have full confidence in the UK's assessment that the two suspects were members of Russian military intelligence, also known as the GRU, and that their actions were likely sanctionable at a government level," the statement said.

As the UK's permanent representative to the UN Karen Pierce stated, the UK will consider expanding sanctions against Russia in connection with new data in the Salisbury poisoning case.

Russia expected to hear something new at the UN Security Council meeting on the "Skripal affair", but instead heard a "mixed cocktail of lies", Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzia responded.

In Salisbury, England, on March 4, former intelligence colonel Sergei Skripal, who worked for the British special services, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned. The British side asserted that the Russian state was involved in the "poisoning" of Skripal with substance A234, which they consider to be equivalent to "Novichok". Russia firmly denies any involvement in the "Skripal case".

Yulia Skripal said in a video released by Reuters on May 23 that she hoped to return to Russia. She also mentioned the Russian Embassy in London as helping her, but noted that she did not want to ask for help at the moment.
