France launches super cheap 'Chinese' pickup truck for less than 200 million

French car company Peugeot recently unexpectedly revealed a completely new pickup truck that looks quite similar to the Chinese Rich New model, with a "super cheap" price.

Peugeot previously created a pickup truck called the Hoggar based on the 208 hatchback. But this model was discontinued 3 years ago.

Recently, this company continued to launch a completely new pickup truck model called Peugeot Pick up, targeting the low-cost pickup truck segment.

Peugeot car company shared that their new "Pick up" has a length of 5.08m with a ground clearance of 210 to 215mm, depending on the version, the width of the car is 1.39m or 1.4m with anchor hooks and a maximum load of 815 kg.

The interior of the Pick Up has not been announced yet. However, Peugeot revealed that the interior space is more spacious than current pickup models. The car is equipped with automatic air conditioning, electric windows, entertainment screen with CD player, USB connection port, electric rearview mirror, 2 front airbags, anti-lock braking system ABS, brake force distribution system and rear parking sensors.

The interior of the Pick Up has not been announced yet.

In terms of transmission, the Peugeot pickup will be equipped with a 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine, 115 horsepower and 280 Nm of maximum torque. Customers can choose between two versions of 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive, in which the 4-wheel drive version will include 2 driving modes 4 High and 4 Low.

Peugeot will only sell Pick Up in the African market

According to the plan, Peugeot will only sell Pick up in the African market, but the price has not been disclosed. However, since a Rich New pickup truck in China has a starting price of only 83,800 yuan (equivalent to 278.7 million). Therefore, Peugeot Pick up is probably in this price range.
