Fined 10 million VND for a person who just finished his suspended sentence and impersonated a reporter

The Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications of Ha Tinh province said that the unit has just issued a decision to administratively fine Le Van Phan (39 years old, residing in Thach Chau commune, Loc Ha, Ha Tinh) 10 million VND for impersonating a journalist.

The incident was as follows: Mr. Phan went to the headquarters of the People's Committee of Thach Vinh commune (Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh) to meet Mr. Duong Dinh Nghe, Chairman of this commune, to work on the rural traffic route in front of the headquarters of Thach Vinh commune.

Here, Mr. Phan asked Mr. Nghe which unit was constructing this road and showed him some pictures of cracks on the concrete surface at some locations on the above-mentioned road.

Mr. Nghe said that the road was built according to the cement support mechanism from the superiors and assigned to the village to organize the construction.

When Mr. Phan wanted to ask for the phone number of the village chief - the place where the road construction was being carried out, Mr. Nghe asked to show his documents to work.

At this time, Mr. Phan took out a letter of introduction issued by the Business Times but expired on May 30, 2019.

Mr. Nghe used his phone to take a photo of Mr. Phan's letter of introduction and then reported it to the Department of Information and Communications of Ha Tinh province and the Internal Political Security Department (PA03) of Ha Tinh Provincial Police.

At that moment, Mr. Le Van Phan got in his car and started the engine to leave. Seeing signs of irregularities, Mr. Nghe stopped the car and asked Mr. Phan to come in and talk to the commune police.

Working with the authorities, Mr. Phan admitted his actions.

According to Ha Tinh Provincial Police, Mr. Phan has just served a suspended prison sentence from Nghe An Provincial People's Court for extortion and is currently on probation.
