Fined 200 million VND and suspended operations of 4 unlicensed medical facilities
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Nghe An province has decided to fine 4 unlicensed medical establishments a total of 200 million VND and suspend the operations of these 4 establishments.
The four facilities that were fined include: Trung Hoa Internal Medicine Clinic, Quynh Chau Commune, Quynh Luu; Trung Kien Dental Clinic, Do Luong Town; Phu Xuan Loc Dental Clinic, Do Luong Town; Viet My Dental Clinic, Hoang Mai Town.
Information from Nghe An Department of Health: From April 6 to June 5, 2018, the Department of Health's inspection team inspected 31 non-public medical and pharmaceutical establishments in the area.
The delegation has fined 16 establishments for violations with a total fine of 376 million VND. Of these, 4 establishments are operating without a license. The delegation has submitted to the Provincial People's Committee a decision to fine each establishment 50 million VND (according to its authority) and suspend its operations.

Also during this time, inspection teams of districts, cities and towns in the province also sanctioned 102 non-public medical and pharmaceutical establishments for violations with a total fine of more than 470 million VND....
Up to now, this is the most serious and resolute inspection and punishment by the authorities.

Before the issuance of Directive No. 03/CT-UBND dated January 29, 2018 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on continuing to strengthen the management of non-public medical and pharmaceutical practices, there were 685 unlicensed establishments in Nghe An province. As of June 15, the total number of unlicensed establishments was 156. Inspection teams of the Department of Health and districts, cities and towns will continue to handle and resolutely close these unlicensed establishments.
