Fined for creating Zalo group to signal drivers to... avoid traffic police
The subject created a Zalo group called "Group of drivers transporting soil" with the purpose of monitoring and continuously informing drivers of the location of the Patrol and Control Team (TTKS) on duty, avoiding the control of the Traffic Police.
On the morning of August 20, Colonel Dao Quang Minh - Head of Duc Pho Town Police (Quang Ngai) said that he had administratively fined a car driver in the district for the following violations: driving a vehicle carrying goods exceeding the permitted tonnage by 50% to 100% and establishing and leading a Zalo group called "Group of drivers carrying soil" with the purpose of monitoring and continuously informing drivers of the location of the Traffic Police Team on duty, evading the control of the Traffic Police with a total fine of 43.5 million VND.
Previously, on August 13, the Inspection Team of Duc Pho Town Police stopped and inspected a self-parking transport business vehicle with license plate 76C-046XX, driven by LVB (born in 1990, residing in Trung Hai village, Pho Khanh commune, Duc Pho town) for transporting goods exceeding the permitted weight by 50% to 100% (91.3% exceeding the permitted weight).
The Traffic Police Team also discovered that from July 2023 to August 13, LVB established and led a Zalo group called "Soil Transport Drivers Group" and recruited more than 150 members, including drivers and vehicle owners in the town and other localities operating in the town, to monitor and continuously notify drivers of the Traffic Police Team's duty locations, avoiding control by the Traffic Police; causing difficulties for the Traffic Police force in the process of traffic control, detecting and handling violations of traffic laws.
The Traffic Police Team of Duc Pho Town Police worked with the LVB driver and other drivers who were members of the group. All of them admitted their violations, due to lack of legal knowledge, they did not know the consequences of their actions being a violation.
Pursuant to Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government, the Chief of Duc Pho Town Police signed a Decision to administratively sanction LVB for the above violation, imposing a fine of 7.5 million VND. At the same time, for the violation of transporting goods exceeding the permitted weight by 91.3%, LVB driver was fined 6 million VND; the fine for handing over the vehicle to an organization owner was 30 million VND; the total fine for the above violations was 43.5 million VND.
