Launching the "Searching for Nghe Tinh Folk Song Talent 2026" competition.
In order to discover new talents for traditional music and strongly spread the value of this intangible cultural heritage of humanity, the "Searching for Nghe Tinh Folk Song Talent 2026" competition has officially launched.
The competition, organized by the Provincial Traditional Arts Center in collaboration with Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television, aims to implement the national action program on heritage preservation and encourage the younger generation to continue preserving it.Promoting the value of folk songsVí and Giặm folk songs foster love for one's homeland and discover new talents for specialized training.
This is a meaningful artistic platform exclusively for Vietnamese citizens both at home and abroad, as well as foreigners aged 6 to 35, who have a passion for singing Nghe An folk songs. The competition is not only a gathering place for outstanding singers but also a journey to cultivate love for the homeland through sweet folk melodies…
Contestants can choose to perform solo, duet, or group performance, using original melodies or adapted tunes.modified, in which the organizers give special priority to awarding points to works that use original melodies.
The selection process takes place in three rigorous stages, beginning with the preliminary round where contestants are judged through video clips to select 30 outstanding candidates. These contestants will then proceed to the final round of the "Folk Song Talent Search" competition.Wallet, Milestone"Nghe Tinh 2026" will take place from August 8th to 10th, 2026 at the Traditional Arts Center, where participants will receive direct training from experienced artists before performing their acts, which will not exceed 5 minutes.
Finally, the 12 most outstanding talents will compete in the Grand Finale and Awards Ceremony, scheduled for August 14th or 15th, 2026, at Studio S1, Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television; broadcast live on digital platforms.
Besides the opportunity to shine, contestants also have the chance to win extremely valuable prizes, including 2 A prizes of 20 million VND each; 4 B prizes of 10 million VND each and 6 C prizes of 5 million VND each, along with supplementary prizes for the most voted contestant or the most promising young contestant.
To register, contestants must submit their application, including a registration form, a copy of their identification documents, and an unedited video clip of their raw singing voice, to the organizers before 5:00 PM on July 20, 2026.
