Launching a peak emulation campaign towards the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province, term 2022 - 2027

The launching ceremony aims to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2022) and create a vibrant competitive atmosphere in the entire Union, towards the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province, term 2022 - 2027.

2022 marks an important political event for Vietnamese youth in general and Nghe An youth in particular. It is the year of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, the 18th Provincial Youth Union Congress, and the 12th National Youth Union Congress, term 2022 - 2027.

Over the past several months, throughout the province, Youth Union chapters at all levels have actively organized many activities and emulation movements to welcome the Youth Union Congresses at all levels. 35/35 district-level Youth Union units under Nghe An Provincial Youth Union have completed the Congress for the 2022-2027 term, meeting the progress set by the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee.

Of which, 9/35 units directly elected the Secretary at the Congress, reaching a rate of 25.7%; 697 comrades were elected to the new Executive Committee of the Youth Union, of which 199 comrades were elected to the Standing Committee; 23/35 comrades of the District-level Youth Union Secretaries were re-elected, 2 acting Secretaries were elected as Secretaries at the Congress, 10 comrades of the District-level Youth Union Secretaries were transferred to other positions and jobs.

In order for the 18th Provincial Youth Union Congress to truly become a great festival for the youth, spreading widely in society, Provincial Youth Union Secretary Le Van Luong requested union members and young people across the province to successfully carry out three key tasks.

Specifically, the Youth Union at all levels needs to actively and proactively disseminate widely to the people, cadres, and young union members about the stature, significance, and results of implementing the Union's revolutionary movements and action programs, and the results of implementing the Resolution of the Youth Union Congress at all levels, term 2017 - 2022. Fully reflect the thoughts and aspirations of the majority of young people living and working in the province to the congress.

Second, focus on implementing a peak emulation campaign to achieve achievements to welcome the congress, from September 1 to October 1, 2022, the Youth Union chapters at all levels will select and organize activities, carry out practical and meaningful works and tasks, affirming the pioneering role of young people in all fields, ensuring that each Youth Union chapter carries out at least 1 youth work to welcome the congress.

Finally, activities must be organized in accordance with local and unit conditions, ensuring efficiency, economy, and spreading from the province to the grassroots, mobilizing the participation of a large number of cadres, union members, youth and social forces; creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the province towards the 18th Provincial Youth Union Congress and the 12th National Youth Union Congress, term 2022 - 2027.

Through the exciting and practical activities in the 30-day emulation journey, the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union hopes that each member and youth will turn their determination into practical and effective actions in studying, working and working; each Youth Union base should create the most favorable conditions for each young person to leave their mark with good and meaningful deeds, contributing to the community, homeland and country.
