Launching the emulation movement 'Dedicated, creative, professional nurses'
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 2, Nghe An Provincial Nursing Association celebrated its 30th anniversary (June 3, 1993 - June 3, 2023) and organized a workshop to improve the quality of patient care.

From 20 branches and 1,000 members at the time of its establishment, up to now, Nghe An Nursing Association has 36 branches and 5,336 members. The Association network ranges from hospitals and provincial centers to district and commune facilities, 2 non-public hospitals and Vinh Medical University.

Over the past 30 years, Nghe An Province Nursing Association has achieved proud achievements, leaving its mark on professional development, contributing to changing awareness in the industry and society about the role of the profession and of nurses. The Association has become a trusted address, representing the voice of members in the province.
Accordingly, the Association has performed well the role of self-management, self-responsibility, educating and training members to become nurses with professional competence and good service attitude. Promoting positivity, proactively implementing timely and effective policies of the health sector, improving the quality of nursing activities and patient care.
Nursing members account for more than 60% of the health sector's workforce, and are the core force in implementing emulation movements: social work; improving hospital quality; green - clean - beautiful - safe hospitals; 5S program; emulation to take good care of patients, increasingly improving quality and changing form; implementing professional ethics standards for nurses...
Up to now, members have made positive changes, raising their sense of responsibility towards patients in performing professional duties to ensure patient safety, social work and communication with patients. The activities of the Association have made important contributions to the cause of health care and protection for the people of the province.

On this occasion, the Association and members of the Provincial Nursing Association with outstanding contributions and achievements were awarded Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and Certificates of Merit by the Department of Health; collectives and individuals who won the award "Joining hands to prevent Covid-19, nurses work from the heart" by the Vietnam Nursing Association were awarded.

With the determination to fundamentally and comprehensively innovate nursing and patient care activities, implement the message of the World Nursing Council in 2023 "Our nurses - our future" and towards the traditional day of Patriotic Emulation, on this occasion, Nghe An Provincial Nursing Association launched the emulation movement "Dedicated, creative, professional nurses".

Within the framework of the ceremony, Nghe An Nursing Association organized a workshop on “Improving the quality of patient care”. Delegates listened to presentations on: The current status of nursing, midwifery and technical staff in public health units in Nghe An, Application of IT in sharing inpatient medicine at Vinh General Hospital, Nurses with advanced technical development at the Provincial General Hospital; Some initiatives to improve patient care activities at the Oncology Hospital…; to share experiences in management, operation and implementation of activities to improve the quality of patient care at the branches.
Thereby, organizations, individuals and members determine their roles and responsibilities, contributing to the good performance of the task of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in the new situation./.
