The Competition Management Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has just discovered and handled two enterprises operating multi-level marketing but have not completed the procedures to register for a certificate of operation with the competent authority.

Accordingly, these two companies are Phuc Gia Bao 68 Trading Investment Joint Stock Company (headquarters address: 131 Bach Dang, Phuoc Trung Ward, Ba Ria City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) and Lotus Vietnam Trading Development Joint Stock Company (headquarters address: No. 2, Lane 2, Group 3, Trung Kinh Street, Trung Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi City).

Multi-level marketing has many forms.

The representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade said: The public disclosure of the identity and warning about the multi-level marketing activities of violating enterprises is to let people know and be vigilant. At the same time, if people discover that the multi-level marketing activities of this enterprise continue, they are requested to notify the Department of Industry and Trade, the local police agency or the Competition Management Department for timely handling measures.

Previously, the Minister of Industry and Trade issued Directive No. 02/CT-BCT on strengthening inspection, supervision and handling of violations of the law in multi-level marketing activities and Decision No. 1052/QD-BCT on establishing an Inspection Team for compliance with the law on multi-level marketing at 7 multi-level marketing enterprises.

A representative of the Competition Management Department said that the Inspection Team is currently conducting inspections of 7 enterprises and has not yet reached a final conclusion on the inspection contents. Therefore, "the information that there has been a final inspection conclusion for some enterprises is incorrect," the Department's announcement stated.
