According to experts, this is an unprecedented work of art and architecture of a civilization that existed for centuries in a large area including the territory of 5 southern Mexican states and the present-day countries of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
Mr. Belli believes that this relief shows the importance of the tower house and the remains of many characters previously found in the above archaeological area in Petén province.
The Maya is a unique ancient civilization alongside the Andean civilization in South America. This civilization was built and developed by the Maya, a Native American tribe that existed 2,000 years ago.
Therefore, the Maya civilization reached a high level not only in state building but also developed brilliantly in the fields of architecture, mathematics and astronomy.
Today, tourists can admire the Mayan heritage still imprinted on ancient towers in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador./.
