Earlier that morning, while patrolling and controlling homeless people in the ward, the functional forces of Ward 4 discovered an old man residing locally begging.
At the time of inspection, the old man had 54 million VND in his pocket, 5 ID cards numbered 020434231 and 7 citizen ID cards numbered 089043000003 in the name of Do Van De, born in 1943, hometown An Giang, permanent address at Bui Thi Xuan street, ward 2, Tan Binh district.
A representative of Ward 4 People's Committee said that initial inspection of the 12 identity cards showed that they were all real.
“All ID cards and citizen identification cards have the same number, only the date of issue is different. Maybe this old man was checked by the authorities many times, so he used the excuse of losing his documents to make many ID cards to deal with it...” - Mr. Son commented.
Currently, the ward police have invited the old man's son to clarify the information, and at the same time have a report sent to the district police, advising on handling the case.
