Discovered two giant lingzhi mushrooms weighing 3.6kg
Two giant lingzhi mushrooms, each weighing 3.6kg and 40cm in diameter, growing on an ancient banyan tree were recently discovered by locals in Tan Phong commune, Ninh Giang district, Hai Duong.
The two mushrooms above were picked by Mr. Tran Van Tho (No. 24C, Ba Lieu Street, Zone 5, Hai Tan Ward, Hai Duong City) on July 20, at an ancient banyan tree in Tan Phong Commune (Ninh Giang District, Hai Duong).
According to Mr. Tho, about a week before, he accidentally saw two mushrooms on the trunk of this banyan tree while visiting a customer's house.
On July 20, Mr. Tho and his father-in-law drove to the banyan tree to pick mushrooms.
On the banyan tree trunk there was another lingzhi root that had been picked or dropped by someone before.
These two mushrooms grow on the trunk of a banyan tree, about 5 meters above the ground. The ancient mushroom stems have turned into wood and horn.
On the surface there are deep grooves running in concentric circles.

According to many people in Tan Phong commune, the banyan tree has two lingzhi mushrooms. Although the diameter is only about 3 people's hugs, it is several hundred years old.
Therefore, these two Ganoderma mushrooms are also several decades to several hundred years old.
