Previously, the Department of Industry and Trade inspectors inspected the company's production workshop in Ban Nham Bac village, Hoa Xuan Tay commune (Dong Hoa) and discovered that food processing did not meet food safety conditions; raw materials were placed directly on dirty ground.
In addition, 1,200 bags of Tuy Hoa White Weasel coffee, 500 grams/bag, were also discovered. After sending samples of this coffee to the Central Region Food Safety Testing Center (Pasteur Institute Nha Trang), testing showed that the product did not contain coffee as declared in the quality declaration, but instead, the main ingredients were soybeans, corn, and flavoring.
The Department of Industry and Trade proposed that the Provincial People's Committee impose an administrative penalty on this facility for producing counterfeit goods. However, Mr. Le Van Thuoc, Director of Hoang Phu An Company Limited, later objected to the penalty decision. According to Mr. Thuoc, due to consumer tastes, some coffee processing facilities often mix coffee powder and cereal powder.
Therefore, the Company produces and processes cereal powder for a coffee facility in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa) to process coffee. And, the Company wants to reuse old packaging from the previous inventory to package this cereal powder, not intentionally making fake coffee, and the reason for signing the previous violation record of the Department of Industry and Trade was because you did not fully understand this document?
Mr. Dao Tan Cam, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Phu Yen, said that the owner of the facility thought that reusing packaging was unreasonable. Because at the time of inspection, the facility had packaged the finished product, bearing the Tuy Hoa White Weasel Coffee brand. As for Mr. Thuoc signing the document, the inspection team had previously let him read the minutes carefully before signing.
