Drug shipment worth over 4 billion VND discovered in 15 packages of dry tea in Ha Tinh
Checking the backpack of a young Laotian man, Ha Tinh authorities found 15 kg of crystal meth wrapped in 15 packages of dry tea.
At around 4:30 a.m. on March 18, on National Highway 8A, through Son Kim 1 Commune (Huong Son District, Ha Tinh), authorities ambushed and arrested Thao Cu Mua (31 years old, Lao nationality) while illegally transporting 15 tea packages hidden inside 15 kg of crystal meth.

Suspect Mua confessed to transporting the above drugs from Laos to Vietnam to deliver to a partner, receiving a commission of 120,000 USD.
According to authorities, the drugs are worth more than 4 billion VND. The case is under further investigation.
