Discovered young Vietnamese-American star on Chelsea's payroll

Young players of Vietnamese origin are increasingly appearing in advanced football in Europe. Previously, there was Doan Khac Hai Lam, a young player who will join Bayern Munich U13 early next year. Brandon Ly, a name that has just joined Burnley on a permanent contract from Sheffield United. Or recently, Jariyah Shah, a Pakistani player with Vietnamese blood, joined Man United U15 for a large sum of money.

Not stopping there, in the youth team of Chelsea U13, there has appeared another player of Vietnamese origin. Specifically, this rising star is Arthur Barratt, he was born in 2009, plays as a midfielder, and is currently playing for Chelsea U14 team. According to Vietnam Football Scout, Arthur Barratt's grandmother is Vietnamese.

Arthur Barratt's case is quite similar to Yohan Cabaye, a former Newcastle and France player. It is known that Cabaye also has a Vietnamese grandmother. Like Mason Mount and Conor Gallagher, Arthur Barratt joined the Cobham youth academy when he was only 7 years old. To date, he has spent more than 7 years playing for Chelsea's youth teams.

On Arthur Barratt's personal page, there are many pictures of his son being photographed and participating in extracurricular activities with former Chelsea stars such as Cesar Azpilicueta, Tammy Abraham, Eden Hazard and Ngolo Kante.

Man United suffer historic defeat at home

After the win over Chelsea, Man United were expected to continue their good performance at home, against the opponent currently ranked 15th in the rankings. However, expectations soon turned to disappointment, when the "Red Devils" let Bournemouth score in the 5th minute.

Bruno Fernandes made an irresponsible pass in his own half and allowed Lewis Cook to steal the ball. Inside, Dominic Solanke found a position to finish close range, beating Andre Onana.

Bruno's mistake opened the door for MU's crushing defeat.

After conceding the goal, Man Utd continued to face difficulties, as the visitors organized a reasonable man-marking in the midfield area. In addition, the slippery pitch also made it difficult for coach Ten Hag's stars to circulate the ball from home. The "Red Devils" had 73% possession but did not create any truly dangerous opportunities. The attacks of the Old Trafford team all ended with weak handling or missed the goal.

In the opposite direction, Bournemouth defended calmly and almost doubled the gap after a bad pass from Sergio Reguilon. Luck smiled on the home team when Solanke's shot hit the post this time.

In the second half, MU accelerated and brought quite positive signs with attacks from both wings. However, when the goal was still not coming, the home team once again paid the price for individual mistakes. In the 68th minute, it was Luke Shaw's turn to pass the ball incorrectly, creating conditions for Bournemouth to organize a counter-attack. After Tavernier's cross, Philip Billing jumped high and headed the ball close to the goal, defeating Onana.

The second goal destroyed the fighting spirit of the “Red Devils”. In the 73rd minute, no one was marking Marcos Senesi and let the Argentine player comfortably finish with his head, leaving Onana standing still watching the ball go into the net for the third time.

Coach Ten Hag's adjustments did not work either. The Old Trafford team struggled to wait for the final whistle, even losing Bruno Fernandes in the match against Liverpool due to having received enough cards.

For the first time in history, MU lost to Bournemouth at home. With this result, the "Red Devils" are still in 6th place with 27 points but have played one more match than their competitors.

Argentina in "easy" group at Copa America 2024

The South American Football Confederation held the draw for the 2024 Copa America at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida, USA, with 16 teams divided into four groups. While Messi and his teammates from the Argentina national team were in an easy group, Brazil fell into a group that was predicted to face many difficulties.

Copa America 2024 will feature 16 teams, including 10 from South America and 6 from North and Central America. Accordingly, defending champion Argentina has been given a light draw when falling into Group A with the participation of Peru, Chile and the winner of the CONCACAF play-off match between Canada and Trinidad & Tobago. Their two South American opponents are both having quite poor performance while the remaining two teams are not really difficult.

Brazil are in Group D and will have to watch out for Colombia, who recently defeated Brazil in the World Cup qualifiers. However, the other two teams in the group, Paraguay and the winner of the Costa Rica-Honduras match, promise to be enough for the runners-up to secure a ticket.

Group B is expected to be very interesting because Mexico will not only face Ecuador and Venezuela, two teams that have been in good form recently. They will also face regional rivals Jamaica, who earlier this year held Mexico to a 2-2 draw in the CONCACAF Nations League. This is considered the most competitive group.

In Group C, the host USA and Uruguay are considered the two teams with the highest chances of qualifying, while Panama and Bolivia must hope to create an unexpected surprise to have a chance to continue. Copa America 2024 is scheduled to take place from June 20 to July 12, 2024 at 14 stadiums in the US.

C.Ronaldo reaches impressive milestone

Al Nassr's 4-1 victory over Al Riyadh in the round of 16 of the 2023/24 Saudi Arabian Premier League has a very special meaning for star C. Ronaldo. This is Cr7's 1,200th match as a professional player, a record that very few football players can achieve in their career.

Having rested in the AFC Champions League last week, Cr7 returned in full force. In front of 25,000 spectators at the stadium, Ronaldo contributed 1 goal and 1 assist to help the home team win all 3 points.

In history, only 4 people have played more matches than Ronaldo and all are goalkeepers, they are Peter Shilton (1,375 matches), Paul Bastock (1,286 matches), Rogerio Ceni (1,237 matches) and Fabio (1,212 matches).

Ronaldo is also closing in on his 900th goal, having scored 868 goals, including a strike against Al Riyadh in the 33rd minute of his 1,200th match.

Throughout his career, the former MU star has won many major titles, including 5 UEFA Champions League, 3 Premier League, 2 La Liga, 1 Serie A.

Ronaldo is about to turn 39 in February next year but still created a series of impressive statistics in 2023 such as 49 goals (only behind Erling Haaland - 50 goals), 14 assists.

In the 2023/24 season alone, CR7 is also leading the Saudi Pro League in two main indicators, which are 16 goals and 8 assists.

Federer reveals new job

Roger Federer has retired from tennis, but his name still holds great value in the tennis world and fans are still eager to have the opportunity to meet the Swiss legend. Even a single appearance of Federer on a budget flight was enough to create a stir among fellow passengers.

So what is Federer doing now that he’s retired? “FedEx” himself has said that his life after tennis has been a smooth transition, as he spent more time at home in his final year of career. However, with the extra time he has now since retiring from the tennis grind, Federer has decided to use this time to help the sport that made him famous.

In the past, Federer has had a brand called “RF” which stands for his initials to sell fashion, but recently “Express Train” has a new fashion project in collaboration with designer Jonathan Anderson and Uniqlo. Federer’s new clothes are said to be suitable for people who often walk outdoors and are made of quick-drying materials.

Federer said that even his involvement in fashion comes from his inspiration from tennis players of the past. “Rene Lacoste (founder of the Lacoste brand) and Stan Smith are great players and they have style. I think it’s important to remind tennis fans where our style comes from. If possible, I want to make tennis players look elegant on the court,” Federer shared.
