Detected and destroyed 1,340 liters of alcohol of unknown origin
(Baonghean.vn) - During 5 days of conducting food safety and hygiene inspections on alcohol products, the provincial Market Management Department discovered and destroyed 1,340 liters of alcohol.
Information from Nghe An Market Management Department: Implementing Official Dispatch No. 371/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister, Directive 02/CT-BCT of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Official Dispatch No. 320/QLTT-KSCLHH dated March 13, 2017 of the Market Management Department, from March 23 to March 27, Market Management teams conducted food safety and hygiene inspections of establishments and households producing and trading alcohol products in the province.

Accordingly, the Market Management Teams inspected 20 establishments; handled 19 establishments violating Decree No. 94/2012/ND-CP on wine production and trading with the following violations: trading wine of unknown origin, using packaging materials without a certificate of conformity declaration, not declaring standards applicable to 35º wine products. 01 establishment has not been handled because it is still waiting for test results.
Market management teams have confiscated and destroyed 1,340 liters of alcohol of unknown origin; imposed administrative fines of VND 60.9 million on 19 violating establishments... Currently, Nghe An Market Management Department is directing market management teams to continue to strengthen food safety management of alcohol products.
Decree No. 94/2012/ND-CP effective from January 1, 2013 on wine production and trading stipulates: Organizations and individuals producing handmade wine for sale on the market must have a production license, and the product must be labeled; selling to businesses with wine production licenses, for reprocessing wine must register with the People's Committee of the commune where the wine is produced; when transporting to the place of consumption, the wine maker must present the wine purchase and sale contract with the business with the wine production license to the competent authorities in case of inspection. |
