Strange hair and fingerprints found in the car of the suspect who murdered Nhat Linh
A quantity of hair and fingerprints that did not belong to Yasumasa Shibuya were found by police inside the suspect's camper van.
Shibuya, 46, had a silver sedan he regularly drove and a white camper van he rarely used, parked near his home. Police seized both vehicles after arresting the suspect on April 14 and conducting a search.
ANN reported today that investigators have collected an unknown amount of hair and fingerprints, which do not belong to Shibuya, in the camper. They are verifying whether these are the hair and fingerprints of Le Thi Nhat Linh.
Shibuya is suspected of kidnapping Linh on the morning of March 24 and hiding her in a camper van. He may then have used the car to transport her body and dispose of it.

According to security camera footage, Shibuya’s silver car appeared on a major road near the scene where Linh’s body and clothes were found in Abiko and Ibaraki cities for several hours, from the afternoon to the evening of March 24. The crime scene area is located a distance from the road and has no security cameras.
This afternoon, Nhat Linh’s parents went for the first time to the canal bank in Abiko, where their daughter’s naked body was found on the morning of March 26. The police officers who accompanied them confirmed the scene and explained the relevant details.
Linh's father burned incense and placed flowers for her, while her mother bowed her head and cried in pain.

Test results showed that Shibuya's DNA matched the DNA on Linh's belongings found at the scene.
However, Shibuya stated yesterday that on the morning Nhat Linh went missing, he still took his child to school, then because he was not feeling well, he went home to rest and did not go anywhere else. Investigators are verifying Shibuya's statement.
