Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Deputy Head of the Provincial Market Management Department, said: "The sealing and inspection of the vehicle was done in accordance with regulations. In addition to the market management witnessed by the People's Procuracy of Quynh Luu district, the police also invited local authorities at all levels to witness.... The passenger car contained many copper bullet shells of various types (without bullet heads), clothes, cosmetics, foreign cigarettes, and functional foods.

Currently, the Quynh Luu District Police Department is verifying the origin and owner of the goods, and why they are so vehemently resisting. The value of the shipment is about 140 million VND.

In addition to clarifying the above shipment, Quynh Luu District Police are also considering the act of disturbing public order against the people involved. The passenger bus with license plate 51B 151.51 has been temporarily detained at the headquarters of the Nghe An Province Market Management Department.

As reported, at 1:00 a.m. on October 13, at km 403 of National Highway 1A in Cau Giat town, Quynh Luu district, after receiving information that there were contraband goods on the vehicle, the provincial Mobile Market Management Team coordinated with Dien Chau Station Traffic Police, PC67, and Quynh Luu District Police to intercept the passenger bus with license plate 51B 151.51 of Anh Khuyen bus company traveling from Hanoi to Vinh.

When arriving at the location, the task force requested the vehicle to stop and present documents for cargo inspection, but the driver did not cooperate and remained in the vehicle for several hours, causing traffic congestion. The passengers on this vehicle were assisted by the authorities to move to other vehicles to continue their journey.

Before pulling the car off Highway 1A, traffic police had to arrange forces to direct traffic in one direction for 4 hours straight.

Although the working group persuaded the driver to pull the car to the side of the road and open the door for the inspection, the driver still stubbornly moved inside the car to make phone calls and refused to open the door or get into the driver's seat.

Mr. Thang added: "When we checked the goods, the driver and the bus company did not cooperate and refused to sign the documents. The authorities had to work until 3 a.m. the next morning. The Quynh Luu District Police cooperated very well and checked each item very specifically."
