PV:Dear comrade, after the first 6 months of 2016 full of difficulties and challenges, Yen Thanh district still achieved remarkable achievements in socio-economic development. Could you tell us about the outstanding results?

Comrade Nguyen Van De: Despite the difficulties in the first 6 months of the year, the Party Committee and people of Yen Thanh have promoted the spirit of solidarity in the political system, created consensus among the people and achieved many basic achievements in all fields. The economy continues to grow well. The growth rate increased by 8.58%, of which agriculture, forestry and fishery accounted for 3.4%; industry - construction accounted for 17.2%; services accounted for 20.13%.

Continue to direct and urge communes to accelerate the implementation of the new rural construction project, especially 3 communes registered to meet the standards in 2016 (according to the provincial decision), 6 communes registered to the district and 7 communes meeting less than 10 new rural criteria. Receive and allocate 1,750 tons of cement (out of a total of 3,000 tons) to the communes: Tan Thanh, Lien Thanh and Hoa Thanh. Organize a summary of 5 years of implementing the national target program on new rural construction in the period of 2011 - 2015, deploy the plan for the period of 2016 - 2021.

Coordinated with the province to propose and the Central Government to upgrade TL 538 road to QL 7B road; TL 534 road and Dinh - Lat road to QL 48E road. Cleared corridors for 3 key routes: route 22, route 33, Lien, Ly, Minh Thinh routes. About to put into construction a climate change project to prevent flooding for low-lying communes...

The cultural and social fields have seen remarkable changes, in which education and training have been comprehensively improved in quality. People's health care has been well invested in terms of staff, facilities, and technical equipment. Cultural, information, artistic, physical education and sports movements have been organized in a rich, diverse, and in-depth manner, gradually socialized. Social security policies have been effectively implemented to prevent the emergence of social evils and complications.

PV:Considered one of the localities that does well in Party building work, can you tell us about some outstanding results?

Comrade Nguyen Van De:That is, focusing on leading and directing the grasping, handling, and orientation of social ideology and opinion, creating unity within the Party and consensus among the people. Focusing on propagating political policies and tasks in the district such as new rural construction, key projects, plans, and socio-economic development projects in 2016. Directing the successful propaganda of the 12th National Congress of the Party and the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.

Regarding organization and personnel work: Implement well the organization and personnel work process according to authority. Successfully direct the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term. Direct the development of a plan to arrange 21 vice chairmen of the People's Committees of communes according to the Law on Organization of Local Government and 7 vice chairmen of the People's Councils at the commune level who do not meet professional standards; Give policies on personnel for key positions at the district and commune levels after the election to prepare for the first session of the People's Councils at all levels. Successfully direct the congresses of the Red Cross Society, the Association of the Elderly of the district and the Women's Congress at the grassroots level.

Organize inspections and supervisions according to plan. Completing the supervision of leadership, the Inspection Committee at 2 levels inspected 25 organizations and 47 party members when there were signs of violations, concluding that 19 organizations and 33 party members violated. Inspected 132 party organizations performing inspection and supervision tasks and 128 party organizations on the implementation of party discipline, discovered 11 organizations that did not perform well the inspection and supervision tasks. Disciplined 2 party members in the entire party organization, including 1 reprimand and 1 dismissal. In addition, 1 party member was suspended from activities.

Promote the mass mobilization activities of the political system, especially the implementation of resolutions, directives, projects and conclusions related to mass mobilization work. Grasp and recommend sectors and authorities at all levels to resolve the people's legitimate and legal proposals and aspirations; consolidate the national solidarity bloc and enhance social consensus.

PV:Could you please tell us the goals and solutions for the last 6 months of 2016 of the Yen Thanh District Party Committee?

Comrade Nguyen Van De:In the immediate future, focus on directing the production of the summer-autumn crop in a safe, effective, intensive manner to achieve high productivity and quality. Strengthen the direction of winter crop production, expand the variety of crops with high economic value. Continue to convert and establish new cooperatives according to the 2012 Law on Cooperatives. Promote the development of commercial services in towns, market towns, economic centers and rural markets. Strengthen budget collection, prevent tax losses, collect correctly, collect fully and strive to exceed the planned target. Urge to promote the movement of building new rural areas in the district. Pay attention to doing well the work of social policies, creating jobs, reducing poverty and ensuring social security.

Continue to effectively implement the Resolutions and Directives of the Party and the State on national defense and security. Strengthen political and ideological education. Grasp and orient the ideology within the Party and public opinion in society, create consensus among the people, and effectively serve the political tasks of the locality.

Carry out mass mobilization work well; strengthen the understanding of the thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people to propose appropriate and effective leadership and direction policies and solutions. Synchronously implement solutions in the management and operation of government work from the grassroots to the district level. Direct specialized agencies to actively develop projects and plans to implement the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels to ensure the proposed plan and soon put the Congress resolution into practice.
