Promoting the revolutionary relic value of Nghe An homeland
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An is considered the "cradle" of the revolutionary movement, and still preserves many historical and cultural relics bearing the mark of the struggle movements under the leadership of the Party.
Rich system of relics
According to preliminary statistics, Nghe An currently has about 400 relics related to the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement, of which 40 relics have been ranked. The revolutionary cause is a flow over time, so most of the relics associated with the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement are related to the revolutionary movement such as the birth of the Party, the struggles and uprisings to seize power in the August Revolution and the resistance wars against France and the US.
We had the opportunity to revisit Trung Communal House, located in Hung Dung Ward (Vinh City), which was built in 1843 (Nguyen Dynasty). Here, Mr. Nguyen Huu Phong, a resident of Hung Dung “Red Village”, was visiting the relic with his children.

According to Mr. Phong, during the summer vacation, the children from far away come to visit and he takes them to the communal house to learn more about the history of their homeland, helping them gain more knowledge to study and foster their pride in tradition. He introduced to his children: “Trung communal house in the Nghe - Tinh Soviet movement was the place where revolutionary activities took place under the leadership of the Party. During the August General Uprising in 1945, on August 17, the Viet Minh led the people of Yen Dung village to rise up and seize power and chose Trung communal house as their headquarters.
In particular, in November 1946, Trung Communal House was chosen as the venue for the 4th Congress of Nghe An Party Committee, with 45 official delegates. After nearly 80 years, Trung Communal House has become a “guide” for today’s generation to return to the history of their homeland, to the days of “revolutionary storms”.

From Trung Communal House Relic, we went back to Chau Son village, Chau Nhan commune (Hung Nguyen) to visit Hoang Vien's House Relic, the meeting place of the Central Region Party Committee during the Nghe-Tinh Soviet movement (1930-1931). Here, a group of young people were attentively looking at the artifacts that were still preserved such as pots, pans, bowls, plates of Hoang Vien and his wife and newspapers of the Central Region Party Committee.
Tran Hoang Lan - a member of the group said: "We are students from Hung Nguyen, this time we went back to our hometown to visit some relics, including Hoang Vien's house. Coming here, we really understood more about the revolutionary movements under the leadership of the Party and loved and were even more proud of our homeland."

That day, Tran Hoang Lan introduced to her friends the Hoang Vien House Relic, the working place of the Central Region Party Committee during the period of 1930 - 1931, and the Party's "base" to lead the revolutionary movement during the general uprising to seize power (1945).
In particular, here, on August 8, 1945, the inter-provincial Viet Minh held a conference to disseminate the situation and discuss plans for a general uprising to seize power for the revolution. Then, a few weeks later, together with people from all over the country, the people of Nghe An rose up to seize power, contributing to the "earth-shaking" revolution.
Along with Trung communal house and Hoang Vien's house, we can mention Vo Liet communal house (Thanh Chuong), Hoang Tran family temple (Do Luong), Yen Xuan temple (Anh Son), Phuong Lich communal house (Dien Chau), Vi Van Khang's house (Con Cuong)... are historical relics associated with the revolutionary movement that are being preserved and promoted in value.
This shows that the revolutionary relic system in Nghe An is quite rich, with relics of family churches, communal houses, temples, shrines, pagodas, houses and historical sites. This relic system is spread across all areas, from plains, cities to remote mountainous areas.
Spreading values in life
The revolutionary relic system is receiving attention from localities in preserving and promoting historical values. According to Mr. Le Khanh Quang - Chairman of Chau Nhan Commune People's Committee (Hung Nguyen), some local Party cells have chosen the relic of Mr. Hoang Vien's house to organize activities on the occasion of major holidays with the meaning of continuing the traditional source so that cadres and Party members can better understand the contributions and sacrifices of many previous generations.
From there, raise awareness of training and self-cultivation of party members and strive for revolutionary ideals and careers.

At the same time, the relic system is also a place to educate the tradition for union members, youth and students, and a place to organize useful and interesting extracurricular activities. From here, young people love their homeland more, love the historical flow of their homeland.
Aware of this, schools in Anh Son district often organize extracurricular activities for students to visit and experience the Hieu Yen Xuan relic site (Linh Son commune) and the Tri Le banyan tree (Khai Son commune). These are relics associated with the birth of the local Party cell and the process of mobilizing and fighting for the revolution of the masses.
To improve the effectiveness of preserving and promoting the value of revolutionary relics, the Department of Culture and localities in Nghe An are making efforts to combine preservation work with tourism development. Currently, localities are building a team of relic management staff with the capacity to manage the reception, guidance, introduction and explanation activities for visitors.

In the tourism development planning, the tourism industry and localities have coordinated to research and include revolutionary relics in tours and routes to attract tourists.
For example, building the Vinh - Hung Nguyen - Nam Dan - Thanh Chuong route associated with prominent relic sites such as Ben Thuy Intersection, Tria Temple (Hung Loc), Trung Communal House (Hung Dung), the Soviet Nghe - Tinh Memorial House and Martyrs' Tomb Complex and Hoang Vien's House (Hung Nguyen), Vo Liet Communal House (Thanh Chuong)...; The Vinh - Cua Lo - Dien Chau - Yen Thanh route is associated with relic sites such as Hoang Van family church (Cua Lo), Memorial to martyrs who died in the demonstration on November 7, 1930 (Dien Chau), Lien Tri and Trang Ke Communal Houses (Yen Thanh)...
“For a land rich in patriotic and revolutionary traditions like Nghe An, preserving the system of revolutionary relics associated with tourism development is a reasonable direction. The local Department of Culture and Tourism needs to develop a plan for restoration, embellishment, protection, cooperation and promotion to effectively exploit the value of relics, so that the spirit of patriotism and revolution will forever spread and take root in life.”
Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Heritage, Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism
