Mr. Vo Van Lanh in Hamlet 10, Thanh Nho Commune (Thanh Chuong) renovated 1 hectare of mixed garden and planted 200 V2 orange trees. Thanks to good care, his family's orange garden has developed well, bringing high economic value. Mr. Lanh said: "Orange is an easy-to-grow tree. If you take good care of it and prevent pests and diseases, 1 hectare can bring in an income of 250 million VND per year."
As for Mr. Dinh Quang Chuong, after retiring, he and his wife Nguyen Thi Dien returned to their hometown in Trung Village, Thanh Linh Commune to buy 5 sao of hilly land to build a house and garden. He started gardening by planting pepper, grapefruit, persimmons and some other fruit trees suitable for the hilly land. With technical support, he gradually successfully crossbred the Thach That persimmon variety, which has the advantage of large fruit, with the local persimmon variety, which has a sweet and fragrant taste and good vitality, into a new persimmon variety. With delicious quality and no seeds, the persimmons from his garden have been favored by the market. Since then, he has multiplied and sold thousands of seedlings each year, bringing his family tens of millions of dong.

As a mountainous district with many advantages in garden and hill land, Thanh Chuong people promote effective livestock and production models. According to statistics from the Gardening Association, the whole district has about 20,000 households renovating mixed gardens, expanding vacant land and bare hills for economic purposes.
Among the most famous fruit trees are V2 oranges, Bu oranges, Sen Cat Ngan oranges, and Huong Son oranges grown in the Youth Volunteer Corps and neighboring communes in the region with a total area of about 400 hectares and many households growing persimmons, dragon fruit, jackfruit, etc. scattered in all communes.

In addition, the black canarium tree has the advantage of being easy to grow, has few pests and diseases and is very economically efficient. Notably, the district has successfully built a project, annually grafting and propagating 2,000 - 3,000 good seedlings to serve the people.
Many VAC integrated garden hill models have generated a total revenue of around 1 billion VND/year. Out of a total of 355 farms, 33 farms meet Circular 27/BNN of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The average total annual output value of goods/labor is 138.9 million VND/farm; the average annual output value is 392.4 million VND/farm.

According to preliminary calculations, the hill garden economy contributes more than 50% of the revenue of Thanh Chuong's agricultural sector. To promote the value of the hill garden economy, the district government has directed relevant sectors to increase the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge to farmers; enhance the effectiveness of plant protection work, provide standard seeds and feed, and focus on linking to create output for hill garden products.
