Promoting soldier qualities on the new front
(Baonghean) - The Association of Veterans Enterprises of Nghe An province is a professional social organization; the purpose of the Association is to gather veterans and former soldiers (CCB, CQN) who, after completing their duty of protecting the Fatherland, return to civilian life to actively participate in economic activities, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and strive to become rich legitimately.
Nghe An Veterans Business Association is a common home for veterans and veterans in the economic field of the integration period; a spiritual support for members to have more confidence in life, production and business - a bridge for members to exchange, learn and help each other to develop together.
Over the past 5 years, with the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, especially the Standing Committee of the Association, together with all levels of the Association and a large number of members, have overcome many difficulties, organized and implemented the proposed target programs and achieved encouraging results.

During the past term, the Association focused on establishing branches and inter-branch associations in districts and towns with a relatively large number of members such as: Hoang Mai Town, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Tan Ky, Thanh Chuong, Quy Hop, Cua Lo districts and Vinh City - Nam Dan - Nghi Loc Inter-branch Association (currently this Inter-branch Association has been divided into 3 branches). The grassroots association organizations always closely follow the tasks of the higher-level association and the Association's Charter to encourage each other to actively produce, do business, build a war veteran enterprise culture, and set an example in complying with the law. Therefore, in difficult economic conditions, the rate of bankrupt and inactive member enterprises is low. No member has violated the law. When it was first established, the number of participating members was 100 units, in the past 5 years the number of newly admitted members was 77; currently, the number of members who are operating effectively and always paying attention to the association is 150 members.

During the past term, although the economy was affected by the global economic recession and crisis affecting the operations of enterprises in general and veteran enterprises in particular, many member enterprises of the Association still maintained growth. Specifically, total revenue was 7,216 billion 060 million VND; budget contribution was 301 billion 570 million VND; social security program contribution was 16 billion 276 million VND; jobs were created for 8,600 workers/year with an average salary of 5,200,000 VND/person/month. Workers are fully guaranteed social insurance and health insurance benefits.

In the past term, although the Association's organizational apparatus did not have any full-time staff, with the responsibility of the Standing Committee and the Association's Office, it actively propagated the Party's Directives and Resolutions, policies and regulations of the State, the Government and ministries, branches; of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to convey to members through forms such as training and fostering business knowledge to help members access official information. The Association's Standing Committee approved the program "Training Nghe An Entrepreneurs" and organized and coordinated the opening of 3 classes with nearly 300 members participating, creating favorable conditions for members to produce and develop business stably.

In addition, the Association also focuses on organizing cooperative exchanges with a number of Veterans Business Associations in neighboring localities such as Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh... with many meetings, study tours towards cooperation and development.
A highlight in recent times is that the Association has demonstrated its role in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members, and has promptly compiled proposals for provincial leaders and departments to remove obstacles in production and business for enterprises, thereby strengthening the members' trust in the Association. Typical examples include Thanh Chuong Sand and Transportation Exploitation Joint Stock Company, Vinh Hoa Science and Technology Company Limited, Hung Hung Joint Stock Company, and Hoa Thuong Company Limited.
In the 2017 - 2022 term, Nghe An Veterans Business Association continues to promote the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, encourage Association organizations and members to strive to overcome difficulties, stabilize production, business, share and cooperate for mutual development. Build a veteran business culture, set an example in complying with the law. At the same time, perform well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members; continue to consolidate and enhance the prestige and position of the Association.

The guiding ideology in the organization and operation of the Association is "Gathering - sharing - cooperating for mutual development". To achieve that goal, the Association focuses on specific solutions such as: Promoting propaganda about the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers on the economic front, setting an example of strictly complying with the law, building a war veteran corporate culture in production and business, actively participating in social security programs, responding and actively participating in all local development policies. Focusing on doing a good job of building a strong association organization and developing members. Demonstrating the responsibility of the leader and the responsibility of all members of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Standing Committee in the activities of the Association. Building the operating regulations of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee so that the Association's activities are increasingly tight and achieve the highest efficiency. Implementing well the motto: development goes hand in hand with perfecting the organization, improving the quality of members. Doing a good job of motivating and building new factors. Implement well the proposed target programs, worthy of the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers on the new front.
With the continuous efforts of the Association's leaders and members, during the past term, Nghe An Veterans Business Association had many collectives and members being awarded at all levels, such as: The Prime Minister awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 3 individuals; Comrade Phan Van Hoa - Director of Vinh Hoa Science and Technology Company Limited was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the State; Vietnam Veterans Business Association awarded Certificates of Merit and Flags to 2 collectives and 34 individuals; Nghe An Provincial People's Committee awarded Flags and Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 11 individuals. |
