Promoting the vanguard spirit of Party members of the Party Newspaper

In 2018, the Nghe An Newspaper Party Committee proposed many solutions to lead and direct the professional implementation of key tasks such as: Focusing on promoting political, economic and social events taking place in the province, creating social stability, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

The Party Committee and the Editorial Board continue to innovate and improve management and operation work in the direction of continuing to decentralize, increasing the initiative of specialized departments, implementing well the principle of collective leadership and individual responsibility, reducing unnecessary meetings; developing a project for job positions, a project for arranging and organizing the apparatus in the spirit of Resolution 6 of the Central Committee (term XII); continuing to complete the model of "Converged Newsroom".

As a result, during the year, 358 daily newspapers were produced; 52 weekend newspapers and 4 special issues. The quality of printed newspapers in both content and form is increasingly improved, creating appeal to readers.

The electronic newspaper has a beautiful, modern interface, with an average of 90 news and articles produced each day, with quick information and rich content and presentation. The number of printed newspapers published is stable at more than 16,000 copies/issue; the electronic newspaper has an average readership of 150,000/day, ranking in the top 3 of the local Party newspaper system nationwide.

The Party Committee of professional leaders has performed well in receiving and responding to petitions in accordance with the procedures and regulations of the law. Petitions are examined and verified for articles or responses, published on page 1 of Nghe An newspaper daily and on the Readers and Law pages weekly. Thereby, basically ending the situation of petitions dragging on for many cases.

During the year, Nghe An Newspaper was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; 3 Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 2 Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Party Committee; 25 press awards from the province, the Central Government, ministries, departments and branches.

Implementing Resolution 4 of the Central Committee, after reviewing, the Party Committee pointed out some limitations of the collective and individuals, built a specific action program; organized the signing of commitments to overcome the limitations. Organized for cadres and party members to sign commitments to overcome limitations in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee in conjunction with Studying and following the ideology, morality and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh according to Directive 05 of the Politburo.

Since then, it has contributed to raising awareness, political capacity, ethics, lifestyle and sense of responsibility of cadres and party members in performing assigned tasks.

Along with focusing on leading professional tasks, the Party Committee pays attention to leading and directing social security activities, taking care of the spiritual and material life of cadres and party members.

In 2018, Nghe An Newspaper Party Committee recognized the Publishing Party Cell as exemplary in completing its tasks; 4 Party Cells as exemplary in completing their tasks; 2 Party members as exemplary in completing their tasks; and 6 Party members as exemplary in completing their tasks.

The conference discussed solutions to complete the goals and tasks set by the Nghe An Newspaper Party Committee in 2019.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan emphasized that on the basis of determining the tasks in 2019, it is required that Nghe An Newspaper party members promote the pioneering and exemplary spirit, associated with the assigned responsibilities and tasks, constantly strive to improve professional qualifications and skills, create a spread among cadres, party members, reporters and employees of the agency, continue to improve the quality of Nghe An Newspaper publications to be increasingly innovative and modern, build and spread the "brand" of Nghe An Newspaper in the hearts of the reading public.
