Promoting the role of the people in supervising Party organizations, cadres and Party members

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. According to Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Tran Thi Bich Thuy, in recent times, promoting the role of the people has been paid attention to by Party committees and authorities at all levels through forms such as: implementing democratic regulations; receiving people, dialogue, resolving petitions, complaints of people and denunciations of citizens; soliciting people's opinions on policies, resolutions, programs, and socio-economic projects at all levels...

However, promoting the role of the people in participating in Party and government building, especially the role of the people in fighting, preventing and repelling degradation among cadres and party members, still has many limitations.

Therefore, the state of political and ideological degradation, bureaucracy, authoritarianism, and lack of closeness to the people of a significant number of cadres and party members has not been pushed back; negative corruption remains serious.

Faced with that situation, in order to promote the role of the people in fighting, preventing and repelling degradation among cadres and party members, the Central Party Secretariat issued Decision No. 99/QD-TW, dated October 3, 2017 on Framework Guidelines for Party committees and party organizations directly under the Central Committee to continue promoting the role of the people in fighting, preventing and repelling degradation, "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.

This Decision aims to specify the fourth group of tasks and solutions in implementing the Central Resolution 4 (12th tenure) on promoting the role of the people, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations to overcome the degradation.

According to Decision No. 99/QD-TW, promoting the role of the people must be carried out extensively and regularly; each Party Committee, Party organization, cadre and Party member, especially the head of the Party Committee, must be exemplary, seriously implement and direct Party Committees at all levels to implement.

The Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization said: Decision No. 99/QD-TW also clearly stipulates the contents and forms of people's comments and supervision of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres and Party members; the responsibility of Party committees and Party organizations in ensuring that people carry out the tasks of commenting and supervising; the mechanism for publicizing more and wider information for people to supervise...

The conference also disseminated Directive 18/CT-TW, dated January 10, 2018 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution 25/NQ-TW on religious work; a number of current provisions of Vietnamese law on beliefs and religions.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested that after this conference, Party committees at all levels and Party organizations need to immediately implement new documents of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat on mass mobilization work.

In particular, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested attention to promote the role of the people in participating in Party building and rectification, fighting, preventing and repelling degradation, "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.

In particular, according to comrade Nguyen Xuan Son, the most important thing is to expand the public content for people to know, get people's opinions for Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members and for people to supervise.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and organizations in the political system need to firmly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on religious affairs to better manage religions in the area; at the same time, resolutely fight against organizations and individuals who take advantage of religion to cause disturbances, disrupt security, social order and safety, and sabotage the Party and State.
