Broadcasting the documentary film "Heroic Vietnamese Mother".
To commemorate the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs on July 27th, Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) will continue broadcasting six documentary episodes in the 100-episode series "Legends of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers" at 7:00 AM on HTV9 from July 23rd to July 28th.
Based on a list of 200 Vietnamese mothers.

Choosing remote provinces in the North such as Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Hoa Binh… or selecting elderly and frail mothers to film with first, to date, 34 episodes have been completed and broadcast during major national anniversaries since 2012.
The six episodes broadcast during this period feature portraits of mothers: Mrs. Vo Thi Thai (in Hoa Tan commune, Ca Mau City) – directed by Vo Anh Can; Mrs. Le Thi Meo (in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City) – directed by An Binh; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Vinh (in Thanh Hoa commune, Ben Luc district, Long An province) – directed by Nguyen Thu Trang; Mrs. Bien Thi Tu (in My Loc commune, Can Giuoc district, Long An province) – directed by Pham Ngoc Lan; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Meng (in Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province) – directed by Vo Anh Can; Mrs. Bui Thi Trieu (in Lac Son district, Hoa Binh province) – directed by Vo Anh Can. Subsequent episodes will be broadcast on the upcoming September 2nd holiday. According to the plan, the remaining episodes will be completed sequentially by the end of 2014.
There are approximately 47,000 heroic Vietnamese mothers nationwide, and the 100 portraits of heroic Vietnamese mothers mentioned in the film are just a representative number compared to the enormous number, truly a source of pride, of millions of mothers across the country. The small number mentioned in the film, however, is filled with the love and respect that today's generation has for these mothers.
