Two nurses were disciplined for spreading messages calling for protests.

Speaking to reporters on the afternoon of June 20, Mr. Pham Van Dieu, Director of the Department of Health of Thai Binh province, said that on June 19, the Disciplinary Council of Thai Binh General Hospital and Thai Binh Traditional Medicine Hospital issued a decision to discipline and transfer nurses Nguyen Thi Ngoc M. (born in 1986) - nurse of the Emergency Department, Thai Binh General Hospital and Nguyen Thi H. - nurse of the Geriatric Department, Thai Binh Traditional Medicine Hospital for spreading messages on Facebook with provocative content, calling on people to take to the streets to protest.

Specifically, from June 6 to 7, these two nurses sent messenger messages on Facebook to a number of people on their friends list, calling on people to take to the streets to protest the passing of the draft Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units.

These two nurses also admitted that they directly sent the above messages to their friends on Facebook. Sending the messages was due to their own lack of knowledge and following their friends on social networks, and had no other purpose.

The two nurses deleted the messages they sent, and sent another message correcting the call for people to protest and calling on friends not to share messages with content inciting protests.

After discovering the incident, on June 7, the Director of the Thai Binh Provincial Department of Health directed the leaders of the two hospitals to temporarily suspend the two nurses for 15 days for verification.

On June 19, the Disciplinary Council of Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital and Thai Binh Traditional Medicine Hospital met and decided to discipline two nurses with a warning and transfer them to other jobs.
