On the morning of August 26, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with the National Agricultural Extension Center to organize a seminar on developing digital transformation application models in aquaculture. Co-chairing the seminar were comrades: Tran Xuan Hoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Ta Quang Sang - Director of the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Department of Fisheries; the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine; Nghe An Aquatic Breeding Center; aquatic breed production companies in the province; Agricultural Service Centers of districts, cities and towns and nearly 100 farmers representing a number of cooperatives, cooperative groups and large-scale aquaculture farming households in the province.
According to the report ofProvincial Agricultural Extension CenterIn the period of 2016-2022, the unit has successfully implemented 24 brackish water and freshwater aquaculture models in the direction of increasing the content of new scientific and technical advances, VietGAP, applying information technology to production, such as: Model of raising eel in mud-free cement tanks; model of raising tilapia and grass carp in cages; model of raising white-leg shrimp mixed with tilapia; model of raising crispy grass carp and crispy common carp; model of raising white-leg shrimp in cages...

To apply digitalization inaquacultureIn 2022, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center was approved by the Provincial People's Committee for a project to apply scientific and technological advances to automatically manage environmental factors in 3-stage white-leg shrimp farming, contributing to limiting damage caused by diseases, monitoring environmental factors, reducing costs and improving production efficiency.
Orientation ofNghe AnIn aquaculture development by 2025, the shrimp industry is developed sustainably, adapting to climate change. The main farming object is white-leg shrimp, the main farming form is intensive farming. Promote the application of digital transformation, high technology application such as: biotechnology, multi-stage farming, circulating farming... Organize production in the direction of cooperatives, cooperative groups, aquaculture farms, linking small-scale production facilities to create large-scale concentrated raw material areas. The goal by 2025, the annual shrimp farming area of Nghe An is 2,200 hectares, shrimp farming output reaches 12,500 tons.

At the seminar, some units introduced some aquaculture equipment applying technology, digital transformationFor automatic environmental meter, automatic probe cleaning, automatic control cabinet, automatic feeding machine, input material, output connection...
In addition, the application of aquaculture technology using HDPE plastic cages and environmentally friendly aquaculture products to respond to climate change was also introduced. Accordingly, HDPE plastic cages are resistant to wind and waves and can use many types of water resources: hydroelectric lakes, ponds, streams, rivers and seas.
Mr. Ta Quang Sang - Director of the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center said that for a long time, farmers raising brackish shrimp, applying the VietGAP process, have recorded inputs and outputs manually in books, lacking accuracy. Therefore, the seminar helps aquaculture farmers, especially brackish shrimp farmers, to be introduced to the process of applying technology and digital transformation in aquaculture. Through this, farmers need to apply technology and digital transformation in shrimp farming, creating more convenience in controlling input sources, bringing high efficiency in the farming and consumption process, especially for export.
In the coming time, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center will implement a number of shrimp farming models applying technology and digital transformation for brackish water shrimp farming.
