Developing the world's fastest flying helicopter with a flying speed of 470km/h
The British newspaper Daily Mail has just published information saying that the aircraft manufacturing corporation Airbus has registered the copyright for a new generation helicopter capable of reaching the fastest flight speed in the world.
According to information from Airbus, the new helicopter is capable of reaching a flight speed of up to 470 km/h. The new helicopter was developed based on technology obtained from the testing of the Eurocopter X3 Rotorcraft prototype.

In the helicopter model announced by Airbus, the new helicopter is equipped with a propeller system on both sides of the wings. However, unlike the X3 Rotorcraft prototype, the new propeller structure is placed behind the wings on both sides of the fuselage with the aim of reducing noise during operation. The new high-speed helicopter of Airbus Group is equipped with two Rolls Royce Turbomeca RTM322 engines.
The popular helicopters in the world today can reach an average flight speed of 240-260km/h. Only the transport helicopter using a special rotor structure, the CH-47 Chinook, can reach a flight speed of up to 310km/h.

Before the new helicopter was patented by Airbus, its subsidiary Eurocopter built a prototype X3 Rotorcraft to test the technology. During a test flight, the prototype reached a record speed of 472 km/h in a short time. Currently, the X3 Rotorcraft prototype is on display at the Aerospace Museum in Paris, France.
