'Criticism is sometimes superficial, criticizing the boss is very difficult'

Head of the Central Propaganda Department Vo Van Thuong emphasized that criticism and self-criticism are still simple, sometimes superficial, formal, and respectful.

On the morning of July 6, Mr. Vo Van Thuong - Politburo member - Secretary of the Party Central Committee - Head of the Central Propaganda Department and the Inspection Delegation of the Secretariat inspected the implementation of Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee and Directive No. 05-CT-TW at the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

At the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Thuong said: “The inspection is to see what we have achieved, what we have not achieved, what we have done well, what we have encountered difficulties in. The reasons for what has been achieved and what has not been achieved are to continue to overcome and do better in the future.”

According to the Head of the Central Propaganda Department, recently, the Politburo listened to the results of criticism and self-criticism of a number of units and Party executive committees.

“The problem that emerges in this group of issues is that sometimes criticism and self-criticism are still simple, sometimes superficial, formal, not true to the essence, and being considerate of each other, in the direction of criticizing the boss is very difficult, praising and encouraging each other is the main thing,” Mr. Thuong emphasized.

“When it comes to shortcomings, do it gently, in the form of expressing wishes and desires, not pointing directly at what is not working or what is limited. Many units also spend little time on collective and individual reviews,” said Mr. Vo Van Thuong.

Mr. Vo Van Thuong also said that in the evaluation and classification of Party members, basically, good leadership is seen, many collective units mostly complete their tasks well, even in some places 100% complete their tasks excellently. There are places here and there where leadership has not completed but not many.

Therefore, the Head of the Central Propaganda Department said that in inspecting the implementation of Resolution TW4 and Directive 05, it is necessary to re-examine.

Receiving the opinion of the Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of the Party Committee - Minister of Planning and Investment said that the implementation of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee and Directive 05 has been proactively disseminated and deployed by the Ministry throughout the agency, identifying these as two important contents.

Many individuals and organizations have many new, rich and practical ways of doing things.

"However, somewhere there is still a partiality, a state of mutual respect, and an assessment that is not substantial or effective," the Minister frankly admitted.

The Minister of Planning and Investment also said that this inspection is also an opportunity for the Ministry to report on the work that has been implemented as well as listen to issues that need to be adjusted to better suit reality and learn from models.

Minister Nguyen Chi Dung said: "Previously, the classification and evaluation of cadres mostly fell to the leaders. In recent years, the Ministry has taken this issue more seriously, and voted for those who are worthy."

The Minister also gave an example, in the 27 manifestations of degradation in 3 groups of ideology - politics, ethics - lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the organization, stated in Resolution 04, many times when listening, we cannot remember everything, so the Ministry has implemented the posting of them right on the office door, right on the desk, so that cadres, leaders, and Party members can read them every day and voluntarily implement the Resolution.

To inspect the implementation of Resolution 04 and Directive 05 at units, localities and Party committees, the Secretariat established 5 inspection teams at 15 units. Mr. Vo Van Thuong is in charge of inspection in Son La, Hung Yen and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Planning and Investment./.
