The first session of the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, term 2024 - 2029
On the afternoon of July 30, the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, term 2024 - 2029, officially opened its first session.

Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. Participating in the Congress were comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; along with leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations and 353 official delegates representing all walks of life in the province.
Review report of term XIV, term 2019 - 2024

The first session of the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, term 2024 - 2029, conducted consultations to elect the Presidium of 17 delegates and the Congress Secretary of 2 delegates; voted to approve the program and regulations of the congress.

The Congress also listened to the Congress Presidium report on the number and quality of delegates attending the Congress; and voted to unify the voting form in the Congress.
The Congress listened to a report reviewing the activities of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XIV, 2019 - 2024.

Accordingly, the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province democratically elected the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province consisting of 120 members and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province consisting of 9 members.

During the 2019 - 2024 term, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has focused on innovating the content and methods of operation of the Front, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of the system of specialized agencies of the Front from the province to the grassroots level and 5 programs of coordinated unified action of the Front.

The majority of members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee have maintained their political viewpoints and stances, promoted their capacity and moral qualities to gather and rally people of all walks of life, unite and effectively implement patriotic emulation movements and campaigns; propagated and mobilized people to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State; actively participated in building an increasingly strong Party and government, making an important contribution to building the great national unity bloc.

Through review, it shows that the development and implementation of the annual coordinated action program has not fully promoted the potential and advantages of the province.
Some member organizations have not yet linked the program of coordinated action of the Fatherland Front with the activities of their organizations. Some members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee have not contributed much to the activities of the Front; there are also members who violated the law and were disciplined and dismissed from the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
In the first session, the Congress also listened to the Presidium's report summarizing the discussion results and presentations sent to the Congress by delegates; and listened to 5 presentations directly exchanged.
The presentations highlighted the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in social supervision and criticism; the role of the Front and mass organizations in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic; innovation in listening to opinions and caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; promoting effective coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in implementing patriotic emulation movements in the province; Nghe An Catholic community actively responded to the emulation movement to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, live a good life, and follow good religion...

Consultation to elect 114 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XV, 2024 - 2029
The Congress approved the Personnel Plan of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 15th term, 2024 - 2029, including 120 members; of which 93 have university degrees or higher.
Regarding the composition structure, there are 38 representatives of the leadership of member organizations; 20 are Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of districts, cities and towns; 48 typical individuals representing social classes, strata, ethnic groups, religions, economic sectors and fields related to the activities of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; 14 are full-time officials of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.
Regarding the combined structure, there are 67 re-elected members; 33 are non-Party members; 28 are female; 19 are ethnic minorities; and 22 are religious.
Based on the personnel plan, the Congress consulted and elected 114 members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 15th term, 2024-2029. The Congress also consulted and elected 12 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 2024-2029 term.

Next, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, term XV, 2024 - 2029, held its first conference to consult and elect the position of Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, term XV, 2024 - 2029.
Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XIV, was re-elected as Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XV, term 2024 - 2029.

The Congress consulted to elect full-time Vice Chairmen and part-time Vice Chairmen. Specifically, 4 full-time Vice Chairmen, including comrades: Le Van Ngoc - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XIV; Nguyen Duc Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XIV; Tran Thi Thu Huong - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XIV; Truong Thiet Hung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XIV.
Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee was elected as the non-professional Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XV, 2024 - 2029.

The first conference also consulted and elected 3 Standing members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XV, 2024 - 2029.
Within the framework of the Congress program, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with Nghe An Publishing House to launch two books "Bright examples of the term" and "Nghe An Front in the hearts of the people".
The works contribute to propagating and promoting good and valuable books about the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Nghe An province to the general public; at the same time, drawing many valuable experiences, adding motivation and pride for the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province to strive to fulfill its tasks in the new term.

The 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, term 2024 - 2029, continues its second session tomorrow, July 31, 2024. Nghe An Newspaper will continue to update the Congress program on digital platforms and newspaper publications.
