According to NFA Director Renan B. Dalisay, the agency is planning to import at least 50,000 tons of rice from Vietnam and Thailand.
Dalisay is on a tour of NFA warehouses and various markets in the Caraga region from January 4 to 6. The inspection of NFA warehouses is to ensure that the rice stock is secure and not difficult to access in case of an emergency.
He also conducted meetings with NFA regional, provincial and city officials and staff, directing Caraga regional officials to repair some warehouses that were damaged after a series of typhoons since 2013./.
