Asian-American comedy dethrones 'Star Wars 7' in the US
"Ride Along 2" also outperformed Leo DiCaprio's Western blockbuster "The Revenant" and Michael Bay's war film "13 Hours" when they hit theaters last week.
Ride Along 2 grossed $39.5 million in its first four days of release, becoming the first film to dethrone Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the top box office film.
This is the second part of the 2014 hit action comedy, about a new case solving mission of a black agent and his future brother-in-law right before the wedding takes place.
