A "Fast & Furious" knockoff film was released a week before the original.
The comedy film “Superfast!”, which parodies the story of the blockbuster franchise, will be screened before “Fast & Furious 7” is released in early April.
Parody films have become a familiar genre to many audiences around the world through works such as the Scary Movie series, Not Another Teen Movie, Meet the Spartans, Superhero Movie, Disaster Movie, Vampires Suck, and most recently, The Starving Games (a parody of The Hunger Games).
Despite not being highly regarded for its content, this genre still has films that attract audiences to theaters and spark curiosity about the blending of content from many popular films into one.

Superfast! is the latest installment in this film series, parodying the upcoming blockbuster Fast & Furious franchise, now in its seventh installment. The film's protagonist is Lucas White (a parody of Paul Walker's character), an undercover cop who infiltrates a gang called LA – an illegal street racing organization – to investigate. There, he meets the skilled driver Vin Serento (a parody of Vin Diesel's character).
After spending time together, Lucas and Vin became a formidable team, and along with other members of the gang, they decided to overthrow the organization's boss, Juan Carlos de la Sol. From here, a plan that was both humorous and dangerous, yet not very clever, began, leading to a series of life-or-death races.

Despite being considered a "latecomer" to the parody film genre, Superfast! was conceived over 10 years ago. Following the success of the third installment in the Fast & Furious series, Tokyo Drift, the directors of Superfast!, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, began to develop the initial concepts for a parody of the famous racing series. However, it wasn't until 10 years later that these two directors decided to bring their ideas to life.
“If fans of the Fast & Furious series had to spend over 10 years to get to know each character, then Superfast! will let you reunite with all of them in a single movie. If you plan to watch a comedy this weekend and want inspiration to enjoy Fast & Furious 7 next week, then just watching Superfast! will give you everything you need,” - Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer stated.
Superfast! premiered in Vietnam on March 27th - exactly one week before Fast & Furious 7 hit theaters.
