Vietnamese film White Valentine makes its way to America

(Baonghean.vn) - Producer Thanh Duoc and actress Huynh Tien have left for the US to prepare for the premiere of the film White Valentine here on April 15.

After achieving certain successes in the domestic market, the film “White Valentine” has continued to reach further into the challenging US market, with the desire to bring Vietnamese films into the world market.

With the approval of the AMC Theatres system for release, “White Valentine” is expected to be shown at 5 major cinema complexes from April 15, opening the plan for film cooperation as well as the roadmap to bring Vietnamese films into the US market, through the AMC Theatres system (nearly 400 cinema complexes).

Actress Xuan Quynh also went to America this time with Producer Thanh Duoc.

“I think Vietnamese movies are not as bad as many domestic audiences have commented! Besides the low-quality movies, there are also many very good projects, both in terms of content and production quality. And I am confident that sooner or later, Vietnamese movies will gradually penetrate larger markets outside the country” - Producer Thanh Duoc confidently said.

“Actually, before us, there were some Vietnamese filmmakers who brought their films abroad to distribute, but they only made their own products. We want not only our own films but also those of other domestic colleagues. Of course, to get the nod from a prestigious theater system like AMC Theaters, it is necessary to choose good films that are close to the common standards,” Director Thanh Duoc shared more.
