Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries.
On July 14, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Do Luong District Martyrs Cemetery and Truong Bon Historical Relic Site.

Also attending were leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Provincial Military Command, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and leaders of Do Luong district.
At the Martyrs Cemetery of Do Luong district, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense at the memorial house of President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs; offered incense at the martyrs' graves with a sincere heart and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the country's peace and development, for the noble and loyal international sentiment between Vietnam and Laos.

The provincial delegation also vowed to follow in the footsteps of previous generations to strive to overcome difficulties, complete assigned tasks, contribute to building an increasingly prosperous homeland, and make worthy contributions to the country's development.

Do Luong District Martyrs' Cemetery has received 2,189 remains of martyrs; including 1,307 remains of martyrs who were officers, soldiers, experts, and volunteers who died in Laos.




Previously, the provincial delegation visited and offered flowers and incense at Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site, My Son Commune, Do Luong District.
In front of the mass grave of 13 martyrs of the Youth Volunteer Force Company 317 who sacrificed their lives on October 31, 1968 and the memorial house of 1,240 heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives at the sacred Truong Bon, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation of the province respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express their respect, admiration and deep gratitude to the excellent children who devoted their youth to the Fatherland.

Truong Bon became the fire coordinate in the escalating bombings of the US empire in the North of our country to cut off the traffic artery for transporting human resources and materials to support the battlefield in the South.

This place has become a sacred land, a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism, where the blood of comrades and compatriots was shed in the long march to liberate the nation. The place bears the footprints of hundreds of thousands of young men who fought passionately along Truong Son to save the country; the girls and boys who brought their eighteen and twenty years of age to the war, they entered the danger with optimism, the desire to live and responsibility for the country.

Here, 1,240 outstanding people fell on the legendary road; including the heroic sacrifice of 13 youth volunteers of the "Steel Squad" of the 317th Youth Volunteer Company, Team 65, the General Youth Volunteer Team against the US to save the country, Nghe An province.

The war has long since ended, Truong Bon today has become a symbol of Vietnamese youth volunteers, a place where the souls of 1,240 heroic martyrs converge, a place that preserves the living values of a generation of young people determined to sacrifice everything for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, writing a legend of Truong Bon in the 20th century.

Within the framework of activities towards the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, in Do Luong district, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial working delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to war invalid 4/4 Le Thi Khiem (Hamlet 4, Lam Son commune) and war invalid 4/4 Nguyen Sy Thanh (Hamlet Nhan Boi, Boi Son commune).

On behalf of the working delegation, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed deep gratitude to the previous generations.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong affirmed: Although the country and homeland are facing difficulties, the spirit of gratitude and the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" towards those who have contributed to the revolution have always been of interest and care to the Party, the State, and generations of leaders at all levels; at the same time, he encouraged the wounded soldiers who had steadfastly defeated the enemy in the war to continue to win health and be a spiritual support for their descendants.
