At the meeting, representatives of departments and branches reported and discussed the work situation and handling of cases in October. Regarding the case involving 39 illegal workers who died in a container in the UK, a representative of the Provincial Police said that Nghe An police are currently coordinating with relevant agencies to take samples from relatives of some families suspected of having children working illegally in the UK to send for DNA testing, supporting the work of verifying the identities of the victims.
There has been no official conclusion about the nationality and identity of the victims who died in the container in the UK, but currently on social networks there is a lot of different information, including some opposition elements taking advantage of the incident to spread propaganda to defame the regime, undermining people's trust in the Party's leadership.

Therefore, regarding this incident, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that agencies and units need to have propaganda measures, first of all, civil servants and party members, need to be alert in posting information on social networks about prominent incidents, avoid causing public panic, and contribute to better protecting political security and order in cyberspace.
Previously, the work report in October showed that the security and order situation was basically stable. The sectors in the bloc continued to promptly implement the tasks of the unit, especially the tasks assigned by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. The armed forces continued to strictly maintain combat duty, promptly grasp the situation related to the border line to advise and direct. The competent agencies proactively grasped the situation, advised the Party Committee and the government to effectively resolve incidents right at the grassroots level.
The two-level prosecution agencies have strengthened coordination in investigation, prosecution, and trial to ensure compliance with the law, especially cases related to national security. Inspection work has been actively deployed, detecting and recommending timely handling of violations.

However, besides that, the security and order situation still has complicated incidents such as some extremist dignitaries continue to preach, spread propaganda, distort and defame the regime, and oppose the government. The progress in resolving some cases is still slow.
November's task is to continue advising the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on ensuring national security and social order and safety. Focus on handling and effectively resolving complex issues arising from the grassroots, not allowing hot spots of security and order to arise, especially handling some land violations and mass and prolonged complaints. Strengthen crime prevention and control, launch high-profile campaigns to crack down on all types of crimes, especially murder, intentional injury, robbery, human trafficking, black credit, etc.
The provincial police have received and resolved crime reports and recommended prosecution and investigation of criminal cases such as: 378 crime reports; initiated investigation of 736 cases, 1,134 defendants (of which 183 were new cases, 295 defendants), completed investigation and transferred to the People's Procuracy at all levels to propose prosecution of 274 cases, 411 defendants. Arrested and persuaded 16 wanted subjects to surrender, made records to send 65 cases to compulsory drug rehabilitation centers, 5 cases to compulsory education facilities.
The two-level People's Courts accepted 2,765 cases of all kinds, and resolved 1,207 (reaching 43.6%). Among them were major, complicated cases that received public attention, such as the Gieng Xong Cho and Vang Van Thai cases of illegal drug trafficking, sentenced to death; the Vu Van Minh murder case, sentenced to life in prison; the Kim Thi Tuyen and her accomplices case of child trafficking, sentenced each defendant to 11 years in prison...
