(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of November 13, on the occasion of the 86th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2016), comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended and shared in the great national unity festival in the residential area of ​​Yen Vinh block, Hung Phuc ward, Vinh city.

Also attending were representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh city, local authorities and a large number of cadres, party members and people of Yen Vinh block.

At the ceremony, delegates and residents of the residential area reviewed the 86-year tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and reviewed the outstanding achievements of the Yen Vinh bloc in recent times. Implementing 5 contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the bloc has achieved many good results in many fields. Up to now, the whole bloc has over 60% of well-off and rich households, no poor households, the majority of which have built spacious, solid houses in accordance with urban planning.

Every year, 97% of households in the block are recognized as cultural families, 5-6% of families are excellent cultural families, the block has been recognized as a provincial cultural unit for 17 consecutive years, etc. In addition, the work of promoting learning, promoting talents, and the sports movement has received attention and active participation from the people.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that Party committees at all levels, authorities, mass organizations and people of all walks of life need to continue to make outstanding efforts and be highly determined to build Vinh City to develop day by day, contributing to achieving the goals set out in Decision No. 2468 of the Prime Minister on the Vinh City development project and Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for Nghe An province's development until 2020.
