On the afternoon of June 9, the Investigation Security Agency of Soc Trang Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue an order to temporarily detain Mr. Chau Hoai Phuong - Deputy Head of the Market Management Department (under the Department of Industry and Trade) of Soc Trang and Mr. Ung Van Thanh - Controller of Market Management Team No. 7 for irresponsibility causing serious consequences.

According to the Soc Trang Police Investigation Security Agency, in April 2016, this locality established an interdisciplinary inspection team to inspect agricultural materials, led by Mr. Chau Hoai Phuong.

The delegation inspected Ho My Nhien Private Enterprise (Nga Nam Town - Soc Trang) and discovered that the enterprise did not have a declaration of conformity for three types of fertilizers and two types of pesticides, so they took samples for testing.

According to the initial investigation results, in the course of performing official duties, the inspection team did not comply with the provisions of the law.

Through two tests, the fertilizer samples of Ho My Nhien enterprise were both found to be of substandard quality, sufficient grounds for administrative or criminal handling of the violations of the business owner.

However, the inspection team did not handle the matter but continued to take samples for testing a third time, but at the request of Con Co Vang International Technology Group Joint Stock Company - a unit unrelated to the inspection subject.

It is worth mentioning that this inspection was of good quality. From that, the inspection team concluded that the enterprise had not committed any violations and did not handle the matter and at the same time released the sealed quantity of poor quality fertilizer, giving the enterprise owner full rights to consume it.

The case is being further investigated by Soc Trang Police.
